SAMSUNG offers fast and wireless charging on its latest devices – and the perks are easy to access.
The manufacturer has improved battery life for phones in the Galaxy S24 Series, which also come equipped with brighter screens and a powerful AI assistant.
Devices in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series can support fast and wireless charging, plus a feature that allows you to charge someone else’s phone with your own[/caption]The devices not only support wired charging, but “hassle-free wireless charging,” according to the manufacturer – and it’s easy to take advantage of the perks.
Before starting, check that your software and related apps are up-to-date.
If they aren’t, there’s an easy fix. Navigate to “Settings” and tap “Software update,” followed by “Download and install.”
Simply follow the on-screen instructions to update your phone.
A message will appear prompting you to enable the Fast Charging feature the first three times a Samsung Fast Charging accessory is connected.
Some users can level up using Super Fast Charging, but this perk is only available on select phones.
Moreover, you must use the charger in conjunction with a 25W or 45W Samsung-approved adapter.
To take advantage of the perk, you must first know what to look for. The manufacturer urges customers to only use Samsung-branded battery chargers.
A charger labeled with ‘Adaptive Fast Charging’ and a charging icon supports the Fast Charging feature. Those labeled with “Super Fast Charging” support Super Fast Charging.
There’s another perk as well: users can charge another device using their own phone battery, which may come in handy when you’re on the go.
The Wireless Power Sharing feature can be used to charge another Galaxy phone, Galaxy watch or Galaxy Buds. You can even charge another device while charging your own phone.
To activate the feature, unlock your phone and swipe down to open the Notification panel. Tap the “Wireless power sharing” icon.
All you have to do is place the device you want to charge on the center of your phone, keeping the devices back to back.
When charging begins, you will be notified with a sound or vibration.
Once you have finished charging the other device, simply disconnect it from your phone.
Users must ensure their software is up-to-date before activating the Fast Charging tool. Samsung provides additional tips and precautions on its website[/caption]The manufacturer says it is important to remove any accessories or phone covers before attempting to use the feature, as they may get in the way.
Samsung also cautions users to only use the USB Type-C cables supplied with the device, as Micro USB cables can cause damage.
To avoid wasting power, unplug the charger when not in use.
It is also important to consider that any damage caused by misuse is not covered under warranty. A full list of precautions is available on the Samsung website.
