Moment Nigel Farage clashes with protesters & screams back ‘boring’ after being heckled at Reform press conference

NIGEL Farage has been heckled during his first speech as an MP – with protesters yelling “you don’t represent the working class”.

The Reform leader shouted back “boring” repeatedly as more hecklers stood up – before he asked if there were “any more” as the group was hauled out.

Nigel Farage, Reform UK leader and new MP for Clacton, reacts as a protester interrupts his presentation of the programme of newly elected Reform UK MPs in London on July 5, 2024, a day after Britain held a general election. As of 1200 GMT on Friday, the Labour party had won 412 seats in the House of Commons with only two results left to declare, giving it a majority of more than 170. The Conservative Party won just 121 seats -- a record low -- with the right-wing vote apparently spliced by Nigel Farage's anti-immigration Reform UK party. Farage had been set to make his first public address this afternoon in London after landing a seat in his eighth attempt at Government.

But as he started speaking, a group of seven started to heckle him.

After an historic election night:

  • Keir Starmer has become Britain’s next Prime Minister after Labour got 412 seats amid a brutal Tory wipeout.
  • He promised to lead a Labour party grounded in “public service” in his first speech as PM in front of a jubilant crowd at No 10.
  • Sir Keir will now appoint his cabinet as he cracks on with his plan for change.
  • Rishi Sunak admitted defeat earlier on the steps of Downing Street and apologised to the nation for his party’s failures.
  • Tory big beasts including former PM Liz Truss and ex-Defence Secretary Grant Shapps have lost seats after a nightmare night for Conservatives.
  • He was followed by Leader of the House Penny Mordaunt, one of eight Cabinet ministers have lost their seats
  • Nigel Farage’s Reform party claimed an unprecedented four seats as they grabbed votes from the Tories.
  • Tory defector Lee Anderson claimed the first Reform seatfollowed by Farage, Richard Tice, and Rupert Lowe.
  • Sir Keir’s predecessor Jeremy Corbyn, now standing as an independent, also held onto Islington North
  • All eyes are now on our new PM with Piers Morgan telling our Never Mind The Ballots election show that Sir Keir MUST deliver real change after the Tory disaster

One man could be seen pointing at Farage as he yelled: “You don’t represent the working class.”

A small group quickly swarmed the man, and started to guide him out.

But the heckler wasn’t alone.

As the yelling man was dragged from the hall, Farage faced further heckling.

The newly elected MP joked: “This is good preparation for the House of Commons I suppose, isn’t it? It’s going to be very lively in there.”

As a woman shouted, Farage added: “Oh do buck up really, please love, I’m so sorry.”

He shouted “bye darling” as she was removed.

Mr Farage added: “Any more for any more?”

After a pause, a man shouted: “Actually yes.”

Mr Farage added: “We haven’t organised this very well, have we?”

Seven protesters were eventually dragged from the haul.

Once the group were gone, Farage said he was going to “professionalise” and “democratise” the party.

Comment - Farage will rampage through Westminster

By Trevor Kavanagh

This could be the beginning of a revolution – of which we have no full idea yet of what lies ahead. It is the total eclipse of the Tory Party.

The big question is who becomes the Tory leader now?

The other question is what does Nigel Farage do with this genuine platform that he’s now built in Parliament and will deploy?

He will use it to the maximum to leverage his position.

And because Farage has the charisma that he has, I think that he will eclipse whoever becomes the next Tory leader.

I think that we are looking at a parliament in which Nigel Farage will run rampage.

Farage as an MEP really set the fire alight in Brussels and that’s what he’s going to do in Parliament.

Nigel Farage can’t hide anymore – he must FINALLY be held accountable, blasts Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan says the election has been a disaster for the Tories but now the pressure is on Sir Keir Starmer to deliver after changing Labour.

The exit poll projects the opposition leader to thunder into Downing Street with a 170 seat majority, eclipsing even that of Tony Blair’s 1997 rout.

Meanwhile, PM Rishi Sunak is heading towards an historic hammering.

The Sun’s political editor Harry Cole hosted a star-studded panel of experts – including Morgan – live from our HQ in London Bridge for snap reaction as the vote closed at 10pm.

Morgan said Starmer has taken his party from “unelectable” under previous leader Jeremy Corbyn to on the brink of handing the Tories their worst defeat in over a century.

He said: “It’s an earthquake. This is a political and social earthquake for this country, the likes of which I haven’t seen in my lifetime.

“I think, first of all, you have to say congratulations to Keir Starmer, who has taken the party from being completely unelectable under Jeremy Corbyn to being a party with this gigantic majority.

“Of course there’s now huge pressure on him to deliver on the faith that the electorate has shown him.

“A disaster for the Conservative Party which cannot be understated. Whichever way you look at this, it’s a seismic night.”

He then again addressed the protesters: “Those few bad apples that have crept in will be long gone and we will never have any of their type back in our organisation”.

Reform leader Farage was elected in Clacton, winning a UK parliamentary seat at his eighth attempt.

He stormed to a thumping win on a devastating night for the Tories.

Reform has so far bagged four seats – falling short of the 13 predicted in the exit poll.

But Brexiteer Farage – who has vowed to lead a political revolution – hailed the “truly extraordinary” results for his fledgling party.

Reform chairman Richard Tice and defector Lee Anderson also won their constituencies in gains from the Conservatives.

We haven’t organised this very well, have we?

Nigel Farage

Speaking after winning an 8,000 majority, he said: “What is interesting is there’s no enthusiasm for Labour.

“There’s no enthusiasm for Starmer whatsoever. In fact about half of the vote is simply an anti-Conservative vote.”

Congratulations have come in from across the globe.

Former US President Trump said: “Congratulations to Nigel Farage on his big WIN of a Parliament Seat Amid Reform UK Election Success.

Posting on Twitter, Trump added: “Nigel is a man who truly loves his Country! DJT”
