It’s time for the clash of the titans as Spain and hosts Germany battle it out for a place in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.

Yes, Spain boast a 100% record at this competition but their youthful squad do give up chances while Germany’s speed, urgency and direct attacking play
are a far cry from Croatia, Albania and Italy’s somewhat cautious approach.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo can better Kai Havertz’s 15 attempts at goal in this competition – while nobody has registered more shots on target (9).
The Arsenal forward, 25, has two goals in this competition and five in his last ten matches at international level.
He’s also his country’s designated penalty-taker, and they’ve already received two spot-kicks in their opening four matches.
Spanish midfielder Rodri will take centre-stage on Friday, and he’s likely to have his hands full dealing with Germany’s quick transition.
The Manchester City star, 28, has already been booked twice at Euro 2024 – while 55% of his cautions for Spain have arrived in his last 12 international outings.
He’s committed three fouls and been cautioned for two of those. Referees at the tournament clearly have little patience for any cynical challenges designed to break up play.
