A WOMAN has left Vinted shoppers stunned by the unique way she’s trying to sell her clothes.
She took to the shopping app to share a picture of the leopard-print Matalan bikini, which she was hoping to sell for £4.
But, instead of taking a snap of the two-piece hanging up, or on the bed, she decided to enlist the help of her husband.
So she photographed him modelling the eye-catching bikini, showing off his hairy stomach and chest in the process.
“Had to have a laugh,” she wrote in the product description.
“Husband tried this on!!!
“34E top, size 10 bottoms.
“Plastic was removed but not worn.”
Shots of the Vinted listing were posted on Reddit, with the person titling the post: “No thanks!”

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “I can see very much that it has been worn actually!”
“It’s definitely had some balls in it,” another added.
“What woman is gonna buy that knowing a man’s balls have been sat there?” a third questioned.
“He’s wearing is briefs still… you can see in the second picture,” someone else replied.
“His briefs are red.
“So his balls technically aren’t touching the bikini!”
“At least he was kind enough to keep his boxers on!” another laughed.
“I’d rather see any clothing flat or hung up personally,” someone else added.
“Especially shoes! I don’t want to see your naked foot in it even if you have worn them before.”

It’s the king of second-hand fashion but I hate Vinted.
There I said it. Yes, it stops items going into landfill. Yes, it helps create additional side-hustle income for many.
And yes, you can get things at bargain prices. But it is just not my (shopping) bag.
From personal experience, I’ve bought ‘cheap’ bundles of children’s clothes only for them to arrive dirty and misshapen.
Plus, with postage and buyer protection they didn’t feel like such a great deal. I much prefer going to my local charity shop or supermarket for kids’ stuff.
I’ve also bought more premium high-street items – a dress from Arket and a skirt from Cos – only to find they didn’t fit properly and the colours were faded.
I attempted a bout of selling stuff but gave up after my £110 Veja trainers got lost in the post and I spent two hours on the phone to Royal Mail.
A major gripe with it is that it still encourages you to spend, spend, spend. I’m not sure I needed the items I did purchase, I just didn’t want to miss out.
Also, the reselling of fast-fashion items – a £5 Shein top on Vinted for £17.50 – makes me feel a bit queasy.
Clothes shopping has become a daily hobby for a lot of people when really it should be something that’s done once or twice a year as a necessity.
But the 18 million Vinted app users clearly disagree with me.
“I once went to buy a pair of sandals but the lady had a fungal toenail!” another laughed.
“Safe to say I did not buy!”
“Sure fire way to ensure no one buys your product,” someone else said.
“I don’t want to buy something you and your husband have had ‘fun’ wearing,” another argued.
“Surely this is kink?” someone else questioned.
“Voyeurism or submissive/humiliation, perhaps? I don’t know, but I suspect these (if there really is a wife and he didn’t post these himself) are sex people.
As another concluded: “This lady cannot be taking herself seriously.
“What a weird ad!”
