A LITTLE-KNOWN Samsung feature can optimize the gaming experience on your mobile devices.
The Game Booster tool comes built-in on Galaxy phones and tablets and is designed with mobile game fanatics in mind.

You can opt to hide notifications and disable features like Bixby, Samsung’s virtual assistant, to keep your attention trained on your game.
Game Booster is easy to access. While playing a game, simply swipe up if in portrait mode or swipe left in landscape mode.
Next, tap the Game Booster icon, which appears as a tiny video game controller in the lower right-hand corner.
A landing screen will appear. Tap “Start” to activate the feature and you will return to your game.
You can also change the way you use the feature in the Gaming Hub application.
Tap the “More” menu at the upper right corner and navigate to “Game Booster” before selecting “Game optimization.”
This will reveal a host of pre-programmed settings tailored to different user preferences.
However, it also reveals the downside to using the feature – Game Booster’s significant battery consumption.
The “Standard” mode promises “an excellent balance between game performance and battery usage.”
But the “Performance” mode – the version tailored to “the most gaming experience possible” – comes with a disclaimer that it may drain power.
Users looking to conserve energy can toggle on “Battery saver” mode, which limits performance on some functions while maximizing battery usage during gameplay.
There is one notable downside to the feature – its significant battery usage. However, this can be managed in the Gaming Hub application[/caption]Another feature that goes hand-in-hand with Game Booster is a pop-up panel that provides quick access for up to four apps.
To customize the panel, tap the three dots that appear next to the app icons and make your selections.
The Game Booster tab also displays information like battery life, memory usage and phone temperature.
