A BEAUTY fan has shared a lifestyle change that gave her more youthful skin.
She explained that the shift made a huge difference even after giving up Botox.
Redditor Geronimojuju shared the anti-aging tip in a post.
“I’m 47, and both my younger and older siblings use fillers and Botox,” she said.
While her siblings utilized the treatments, she noticed that they didn’t work for her.
“I noticed if I froze one part of my face, the other parts ‘got worse,’ compensating…which looked strange on me,” she said.
Instead, she explained that giving up alcohol has been the technique that has made the most difference for her skin.
“I gave up drinking seven years ago, and I swear it did the most for my face!” she said.
“I definitely notice that my yoga and walking seem to tighten and refresh everything or maybe just increase body confidence/acceptance.
She added that a downside of Botox and fillers made her even more glad she waned off it.
“Filter always migrates, so I wasn’t going to take the risk, and Botox stops working eventually,” she said.
“As far as results, I get younger male attention (which I do not reciprocate) and notice people are surprised about my age, [assuming] I am 10 years younger.”
People agreed that pursuing a more natural approach to anti-aging made a huge difference for them.

Experts warn against the detrimental effects alcohol has on the skin and the aging process.
Nutritionist Jairo Rodriguez spoke to Vogue about the impact it has on the cell turnover process.
“Alcohol is actually one of the worst, most aggressive compounds to destroy your skin,” he said.
A minimum of two alcoholic drinks a day is enough to do huge damage to not just your skin but your liver and your pancreas as well.
The reason, he explained, is that alcohol causes dehydration and inflammation, which dries out and irritates the skin.
“Your skin, like any other organ, has the ability to regenerate,” Rodrigeuz said.
“If you’ve been drinking for 15 to 20 years and stop, I think it’s great, but can you regenerate your skin back to [that of] a normal 50-year-old? Once you destroy the collagen, it is hard to get back.”
“I definitely believe in skincare, but I decided to give up Botox and fillers to take a more natural approach to aging.
“For the last few years, I’ve been staying out of the sun, which can be hard living in Arizona.”
They added that after giving up cosmetics procedures, they incorporated fitness workouts as an adequate replacement.
“Increasing my workout routine is something new,” she said.
“I have never been a huge fitness person, but I can say the impact on my overall appearance has been very significant.
“I have noticed fewer lines, and my skin looks much healthier and smoother. I have never had cosmetic surgery, and I really don’t want to.”
