JON Kay decided to share a special moment with viewers from the BBC Breakfast studio yesterday.
The presenter welcomed people watching at home to a moment behind-the-scenes as he celebrated a milestone for the broadcaster.
Jon Kay revealed that it is the one year anniversary of BBC Breakfast moving to Salford[/caption] He celebrated the shake up on social media[/caption]He announced that it has officially been one year since the news programme started being filmed in a new location in Salford.
Jon wrote: “Good morning from your BBC Breakfast team. Lovely to have Sarah with us – covering for Sally this week.
“It was exactly a year ago today that we moved into our lovely new studio.
“Over the last twelve months our team has interviewed hundreds of guests on the sofa, covered thousands of stories and last month welcomed the BBC News at One to join us in Salford.
“Happy Birthday studio!”
Jon attached a smiling snap of him and Sarah Campbell on the famous red couches to the post.
Viewers flocked to the comments to congratulate the team, and share how much they love tuning in to see Jon every morning.
One person exclaimed: “Happy 1st Year!!! I join you every morning and it’s always great!”
Another praised him, saying: “The nicest news presenter on morning TV. Lovely smile super dress code and relaxed.
“No straight face and sitting bolt upright. Great way to start the day.”
A third chimed in: “Happy 1st year love watching you Jon Sally and Sarah and Nina it’s a pleasure putting telly on in morning.”
BBC News at One also recently celebrated a historic moment as the programme became the first daily network TV bulletin to air outside of London.
