A GROUP of young churchgoers have been slammed for their ‘inappropriate’ and ‘disrespectful’ outfits.
Whilst the majority of churches tend not to have a specific dress code or uniform, clothing should be appropriate for the occasion.
It is understood that those visiting a holy place should be ‘respectful’ – with their shoulders covered, no hats worn and underwear not on show.
However, a group of girls from the US have caused a huge decision online, after they proudly showed off their church looks.
Posting on social media, blonde beauty Graci Bay gave her followers a close-up look at the outfits she and her friends wore when visiting a church in Palm Beach, Florida.
Alongside the clip, Graci penned: “What we all wore to church.”
In the short video, Graci posed as she turned around, showing off her short, white dress.
The strappy dress, which had an open back and was worn without a bra, showed off her slim legs, chest and arms.
We then saw three of Graci’s friends pose for the clip – the first young woman wore a cut-out pink dress.
The bright bandeau dress flashed the woman’s midriff and as she spun around, the top of her back was on full display.
Following this, we then saw another of Graci’s friends – who wore a white t-shirt which she paired with a green floral mini skirt.
The final young woman was slightly more covered up, and wore a pair of blue mom jeans with a tight, navy t-shirt.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @graci.bay, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it had quickly amassed 971,100 views.
But social media users were hugely divided by the outfits – whilst some described them as ‘cute’, others thought they were hugely ‘inappropriate’.
So cute, love the first dress

One person said: “I love all these outfits, they’re sooo cute.”
Another added: “These outfits are everything.”
A third commented: “So cute, love the first dress.”
However, at the same time, not everyone was as keen on the church outfits.
My church would execute me on the spot

One user wrote: “None of these are church outfits and are so inappropriate and disrespectful.”
A second claimed: “This is definitely not church attire.”
Whilst someone else shared: “My church would execute me on the spot.”
According to Christianity Today, when visiting church, the majority of Christians agree that clothing should be modest.
Anything that emphasises sexuality is inappropriate, and this goes for men as well as women.
Christians are expected to dress modesty – and in some churches that might mean semi-formal, and in others it means casual.
The majority of Christians would avoid anything that’s too revealing – including crop tops and tank tops.
Dresses and skirts are expected to not be above the knee.
Transparent clothes, including lace tops, should be avoided.
Despite this, other social media users were keen to question why people were judging the outfits.
One woman asked: “Isn’t the whole point of going to church to worship? Why are y’all pressed about the outfits? Stop judging your neighbours.”
Another added: “Instead of worrying about what people are wearing to church we should be reminded that people are actually going instead of staying home!!”
To this, Graci replied and penned: “Love this!!
“I watched a church that said sweatpants or what you wore before was acceptable and that Jesus didn’t care about such worldly things but your heart and presence!!”
