A WOMAN has ditched a regular house and moved into a tiny caravan as it costs so much less.
Louise Wilson, from the UK, took to social media to reveal her new nomad way of life.
And she isn’t alone, joining her for the journey is her boyfriend and dog, Toffee.
The couple who recently moved into the tiny home revealed it had been a big adjustment compared to living in a house.
Louise said: “As much as we love our little caravan, this life is taking some adjusting to, but we wouldn’t change it for the world.
She then took viewers on a tour of their new tiny home which had two small sofas on one end.
By the sofas were a small TV to the right and on the left hand side was a small kitchen fully equipped with a sink, oven and small fridge.
The next room was their bedroom which included a double bed and some storage units above it hanging from the walls.
The last room in their new home was a small bathroom with the basics – a sink, loo and shower.
The couple are currently parking up at caravan and camping sites throughout the UK.
“People have said this can be very expensive, surely you’re not doing that, but if you find the right ones, there are some great priced ones available,” she added.
And it’s much cheaper than renting a property with the average rent price being £1,223 per month according to Zoopla while camp sites range from £15 – £30 leaving the pair spending just £450 a month.
The cost-saving benefits were worthwhile and the pair also get to see more of the UK.
Plus the pair both work full time jobs remotely.
The dog mum continued: “Me and my boyfriend both still work full time, so we do have a good income coming in.”
“Why on earth would you not want some where decent to live…” said one troll.
Tiny homes are getting increasingly popular in the UK, especially in the cost of living crisis when first-time buyers are struggling to get on the property ladder or current homeowners are having to pay ridiculous interest rates on mortgages.
But Rebecca Miller, Fabulous’ Associate Editor, has shared why living in a tiny home would be her idea of a nightmare.
“I’m currently in the process of selling my flat and buying a house, and as I pack up all my belongings, I’m worried where it is all going to go – there is so much stuff!
Fortunately, I’m very privileged to be buying a house with more square feet than my current flat.
But it got me wondering, could I ever live in a small space? And the answer is no.
Living with another person immediately cuts down on personal space, but remove several rooms, and I’d be left with only the bathroom as my sanctuary. I’m not sure I’d be able to cope!
I’m like a magpie, I like collecting pretty things, and I like my belongings to be organised. With limited storage space, I’d find it really hard to keep everything neat and tidy.
One of the joys of being an independent adult is being able to host – friends, family, overnight stays, and dinner parties. Where would I gather everyone for a Sunday lunch if my table only sat two? Not to mention, how would I cook a Sunday lunch?
Both as an individual, as part of a couple and also my hobbies, can be restricted by physical space. When I first moved into my flat, I was overjoyed at having my own balcony, and it has been a space where my love for gardening has grown. Five years on, my balcony is now overflowing with plants, and I’ve had to set up a mini propagator in the living room!
“Come on… it’s tiny and cramped. Ok for a few days,” they added.
“It’s alright cause it’s me living in it not you,” Louise clapped back.

Plenty of people took to the comments in awe of their new lifestyle.
