YOU might love your summer dress, but it’s always good to have options when it comes to the warmer weather.
Rather than reaching for a maxi dress, one mum has become obsessed with a classic bit of tailoring from M&S.
It’s not hard to see why, as Beth Sandland showed off her latest haul from the high street giant.
The savvy mum had picked up multiple designer dupes, including sandals that looked like Hermes’ Oran shoes and a bag that looked identical to Celine’s Classic bag.
Like many influencers, there was one item that caught Beth’s attention though: the Tailored Single Breasted Waistcoat.
Not only did it fit her perfectly, the fashion find had a classic design with a row of single-breast buttons down the centre.
Unlike other cheaper jackets, the M&S buy comes lined and has pockets – so it is perfect to wear as you are going about your day.
Style with jeans and sandals like Beth did for a summery look, or add smart trousers for an effortlessly chic office outfit.
Needless to say, the content creator was in love with the M&S waistcoat and raved about it on TikTok.
Still wearing the items from her haul, the 28-year-old joked: “Did M&S get cool or did I get old?”
Continuing, she added: “The waistcoat I am a big fan of. It fits really nicely [and] I feel like this is a great addition to my spring/summer capsule wardrobe.”
The TikTok star isn’t the only one who is obsessed with the waistcoat.
Despite hitting shelves in March, it has received rave reviews from shoppers and has scored an impressive 4.8 stars on the M&S website.
One reviewer gushed: “Love my waistcoat. It’s versatile and can be worn with lots of various items of clothing.”
Another awarded the waistcoat five stars, before writing: “Great quality good fit. Goes with anything. A must-have for your summer wardrobe.”
“Great fit true to size doesn’t gape around the arms, lovely fabric [and it] sits perfectly with the straight legged trousers,” a third commented.
In fact, there was only one complaint among shoppers, with some claiming it might slightly to thick to wear during the summer.
They explained: “This wasn’t what I expected, the fabric looks quite thick & more winter wear than summer.”
If you weren’t already sold, the waistcoat is currently available in sizes 6 – 24 in stores but you’ll have to be quick as some have already sold out online.
For those who can’t get their hands on the classic black waistcoat, it also comes in a variety of colours including cream, dark navy and light blue.
You can also find a matching suit jacket and trousers, with the separate pieces also being a great addition to your wardrobe – especially as you’ll wear them for years to come.

“Its handbag range in particular is super strong with them selling 170% vs plan, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price.
“The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year, this comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but how easy they are to wear also.
“Price is also a big factor with you being able to get many good quality pieces all for under £30.
“After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection there are so many more amazing pieces that are dropping over the next few months to keep your eyes on.
“Think leopard print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year on year.”
