IF you’re looking to replenish your winter wardrobe in time for the warmer weather, then M&S could just be the place for you.
That’s because Great British Bake Off star Laura Adlington, who is a size 26, recently sent fashion fans into a meltdown after trying on a selection of new in summer dresses from the high-street store – and they’re perfect for spring.
The baking queen, who won a legion of fans after appearing on the show in 2020, took to TikTok and began by trying on the ‘Pure Cotton Printed Bardot Midaxi Beach Dress‘ from M&S.
Priced at £39.50, it’s the perfect frock to help bring a touch of drama to your spring/summer wardrobe.
Designed in a regular fit, it features an airy midaxi-length tiered skirt, super flattering bardot neckline and full sleeves to help create a glamorous look, while the bold print makes sure you’ll stand out from the crowd.
Next up, she slips into the ‘Linen Rich Strappy Midaxi Swing Dress,’ which also retails at £39.50.
The linen-rich dress is a versatile option for warmer days and is cut in a flattering swing shape, while the scoop neck features soft straps to ensure you’ll feel comfortable all day long.

Another fan favourite amongst Laura’s M&S haul is the pink ‘Mini Tiered Beach Dress.’
Costing a very reasonable £17.50 and also available in a choice of black, the breezy mini length and floaty tiered hem make this simple beach frock the ideal choice for the sunnier weather.
And it’s little surprise it’s been flooded with five star reviews online, with one happy customer noting: “Great dress at a fab price. So comfortable and lightweight.”
Another agreed: “Fabulous dress for my Jollys… Great fit and colour. Good price and worth the money…a must buy.”
Laura also slips into the ‘Jersey Printed Midaxi Beach Dress,’ which is also priced at £17.50 and features a stunning striking print.
The online product description reads: “It’s made from comfy jersey in a relaxed fit that’s designed to flatter your figure.
“The halter neckline creates a feminine shape and the sophisticated midaxi-length hem ensures a streamlined silhouette.”
And last but not least, the Bake Off star styles the ‘Linen Rich V-Neck Midi Shift Dress,’ which retails at £45.
It features an adjustable tie at the waist that’ll help to cinch you in and a v-neckline detail.
Laura captioned the post: What do we think? Any faves?

And she wasn’t short of answers, with the video racking up a whopping 109k views and hundreds of comments, with many praising Laura on how gorgeous she looked in the dresses.
“The first one is stunning on you,” enthused one.
A second commented: “All gorgeous on you!”
“You look fab in them all hun!” agreed a third.
Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale revealed to Fabulous why M&S is the shop of the moment. She explained:
“M&S has really pulled it out of the bag this season, there is so much good product to be excited about.
“A brand once known for its ‘frumpy fashion’ that notion is long gone with it now being one of the leading high street stores for womenswear.
“Its handbag range in particular is super strong with them selling 170% vs plan, with lots more designer dupes for just a fraction of the price.
“The brand is now also the #1 for style perceptions, compared to the #3 spot it had last year, this comes from a really strong design team focused on modernising the brand, not only taking into consideration how the pieces look, but how easy they are to wear also.
“Price is also a big factor with you being able to get many good quality pieces all for under £30.
“After having a sneak peak of the upcoming collection there are so many more amazing pieces that are dropping over the next few months to keep your eyes on.
“Think leopard print dresses, colourful co-ords, embroidered boho jackets, plus lots of swimwear and amazing accessories, as well as great wardrobe staples that will last year on year.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “That pink is so good on you!”
Another chimed in: “You rock them all, but 1 and especially 2 are standouts.”
And one more added: “The last green dress is stunning on you!”
