TOWIE’S Jodie Wells has been labelled a ‘red flag’ by fans who claim she’s using her boyfriend Diags ‘for fame’.
The reality star joined the cast of the ITVBe show last year when Diags, real name James Bennewith, introduced her to the gang as his girlfriend.
Since then the couple have been involved in a fair bit of drama with Diags’ former flame Elma Pazar.
Back in November during an episode on Towie things kicked off when Jodie found out that Diags and Elma shared a kiss while they were seeing each other.
Now things are very awkward between Jodie and Elma – and in the most recent instalment of the programme, the girls came face to face.
Many have taken to social media to share their opinion on the matter, with some sharing how they don’t agree with Jodie’s actions and behaviour.
One wrote on Instagram: I think Jodie is just with Diags for fame. Sorry but she ain’t that into u and he is gonna get hurt. She doesn’t have the right to tell him not to be friends with someone that he knows and cares about. Major red flag !!!
Another said: “Very disappointed in Jodie, watch her Elma!”
“I think Jodie likes the drama there was no way Elma came across as though she wasn’t being genuine, not at all. You could tell she meant every word! I think this Jodie is going to ruffle some feathers! ,” a third commented.
Meanwhile others shared how much they love the newbie.
A fourth added: “Love Jodie, love how happy Diags is. Live and let live .”
“Jodie is lovely,” a fifth simply said.
Another commented on the platform: “I don’t blame Jodie for not wanting to be friends or James to be friends with Elma after he cheated with her but she should just tell her that then instead of pretending to be over it.”
Elma confronted Jodie after she found out that she had made comments about being “desperate” and an “embarrassment”.
The two agreed that there was miscommunication.
Elma said: “He told me he loved you Jodie. I couldn’t make him happy, but you’ve made him so happy.
“That’s all I’ve really wanted.
“I think what it is, is… there was a lot of miscommunication. Partly because of James.
“James had played it down to me, I didn’t realise how serious you guys were. I’m not that person.”
Diags and Jodie have put his kiss with Elma behind them and went official late last year.
But during their awkward chat about the smooch, Towie fans slammed Diags for gaslighting Jodie.
Diags said: “I did kiss Elma. I didn’t think I did at the time and up until pretty much yesterday I still didn’t believe that had happened.
“But obviously the people have told me and the people are speaking about it and have said wouldn’t have a reason to lie.
“I just feel like I need to tell you and be clear about it that did happen.
“I just don’t know. I’m obviously really sorry.”
Jodie replied: “It’s not like we’ve been seeing each other for two weeks, is it? We’ve been on holiday. We see each other all the time. And you just still feel the need to go out and kiss Elma.”
Diags and Elma decided to go on a date and filmed it on the show last year.
Despite things looking like they hit it off, they decided to end on “mutual terms”.
It comes after viewers told Jodie to ‘grow up’ after she mocked Amber Turner.
One said: “She’s stressed about Elma but in the next breath is giggling over the thought of Amber possibly being upset over Dan.”
Another said of the star: “Taking the mick put of Amber being bothered about Dan an Ella when she is bothered about Diags seeing or talking to Elma grow the hell up.”
A third added: “Bit muggy to laugh over amber being annoyed.”
“Jodie was worried about what the girls would think, but then laughs at the though of amber being upset up Dan,” wrote a fourth.
