A HUGE fire has broken out at a parcel depot run by courier firm Evri with the smoke visible for miles.
Photos and videos taken at the scene show huge orange flames and an billowing cloud of black smoke coming from the delivery company’s distribution centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
Avon Fire and Rescue has urged locals to keep their windows and doors shut as thick plumes of smoke poured into the sky.
The black acrid smoke is so heavy it can be seen from the M5 motorway.
Images shared on social media showed the flames licking at the rear of a car as stacks of parcels were consumed by the bonfire.
There are currently 16 fire crews and appliances at the scene.
The fire service posted on social media to say: “We currently have 16 appliances in attendance at a warehouse fire in Avonmouth.
“If you live and work in the local area, we’d advise you to keep your windows and doors shut.
“More updates to follow.”
