A DETERMINED woman has shared techniques that reduced her puffy under-eye bags without surgery.
After a consultation with a top plastic surgeon, she opted for more natural anti-aging methods.

After she’d lost weight, the bags under her lower eyelids, or “festoons” popped out.
“I consulted with a top plastic surgeon who said they cannot be removed,” she said.
“His recommendation was to graft a bit of fat from somewhere else and implant just below the festoon to grade it smoothly into the cheek.”
The surgeon persuaded her against other options like lower lid blepharoplasty and fillers.
“He also said fillers do not work and often worsen the problem,” she added.
After receiving a pricey quote for the fat graft procedure, she decided to exhaust her efforts on natural remedies, like skincare.
“I’m relatively young so I decided to put it off for a couple of years,” she explained.
“In the meantime, I’ve figured out some things that really help reduce them.”
Three treatments of Fractora, a skin-tightening laser treatment, worked wonders despite the downtime.
“I did three treatments, each with 2-3 passes under the eyes. This tightened up the skin under my eyes and generally improved [the] skin on my whole face (small wrinkles removed),” she explained.
“It was painful and recovery was [about] 5 days but I survived.”
She also noticed changes after changing up her daily routine, like her diet and sleep habits.
“The puffiness is dramatically reduced when I eliminate carbs, sugar, and reduced sodium,” she said.

A $50 pillow with ridges forced her to sleep on her back and ended up being a “game changer.”
The beauty pillow prevents side-sleeping and reduces skin irritation and pressure around the face.
“It takes some getting used to if you’re a side sleeper but it is making a huge difference for me,” she said.
She also noticed less puffiness after massaging her face with a jade roller and a $58 under-eye serum combo.
“I’ve been rolling with the Tula Instant De-puff,” she said.
“I feel like I see very slight de-puffing with this cream which is more of a result than any of the many other creams I’ve tried.”
“It’s not cheap though so rolling with another cream or serum is just fine.”
