LUKE LITTLER cruised into the Premier League semi-finals in front of his home Manchester crowed with a 6-3 win over Michael van Gerwen.
However, the misfiring Dutch darts icon left a Sky commentator confused.
Luke Littler claimed victory over Michael van Gerwen[/caption] Van Gerwen was out of sorts in Manchester[/caption]Littler, 17, roared into the lead by taking the first, second and third legs.
He then carried on his electric rhythm by then scoring a 180 in the fourth leg.
But Van Gerwen did not want to leave Manchester without putting up a fight, and came back by winning the fourth and fifth legs, scoring a 180 in the latter.
Van Gerwen then pounced on a Littler miss to claim leg six and subsequently levelled the scoring.
Both could not seem to land the winning dart in leg seven until Littler finally landed the winning dart in the leg to make the score 4-3.
Van Gerwen’s part in the throwing left the commentator baffled as he went down a strange route for a 136 checkout.
The 34-year-old went for a treble 19, treble 19 and double 11 but failed it convert it.
Littler then opened the gap up again to make it 5-3 and hand him the advantage of throwing first in the ninth leg.

The Nuke then finished the game 6-3 by checking out on a double 10.
Nathan Aspinall beat Rob Cross 6-3 in the earlier quarter final, with Michael Smith vs Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price vs Peter Wright still to come.
Littler was looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins after his Belfast triumph last week.
World No1 Humphries remains the leader of the pack.
