SHE is the queen of arts and crafts – and now Stacey Solomon has revealed how she gave a simple £30 Facebook bargain a brand new look on the cheap.
Although Stacey has the funds for chic furniture, that doesn’t mean the mum-of-five will ever say ”no” to a fun DIY project – and one of her latest Instagram videos serves a proof.
The Loose Women panellist, 34, recently revealed how she zhuzhed up an old cream-coloured cupboard she’d found on Facebook Marketplace and turned it into a ”wrapping station”.
”I’ve wanted to do this for so long,” the mum said in the video, adding it cost her £30.
Once the gorgeous wooden cupboard had arrived, Stacey – who first found fame appearing on X Factor in 2009 – removed all the shelves and doors.
”I took the hinges off the doors and then screwed them into the shelves, so I could make like a flip-out surface that I could wrap on,” the Sort Your Life Out star explained.
To make the wrapping station extra snazzy, Stacey also replaced the old knobs with funky golden scissor-style ones that perfectly fit the theme, as well as four pink button ones at the bottom.
”Then I just got tension rods and put my wrapping paper on the tension rods, and shoved them into the cupboard.
”Then some little hooks for my scissors, used a little clear shelf for my other accessories.”
Whilst making the wrapping station, the savvy mum confessed that she always forgets everyone’s birthdays – which is why she also added a little calendar to remind her of the special dates.
Meanwhile, the drawers were filled with paper bags and tissue paper, greeting cards, as well as other gift accessories she’d placed in old IKEA baskets she’d spray-painted earlier.
”And voila – gift station done. I love it so much – it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!” the mum was all chuffed.
”And now I won’t have to hunt the full house down just for a birthday card.”
She added in the caption: ”It will live in the office and forever be my little cupboard of wrapping heaven.”
Since being shared on the platform, where Stacey boasts close to a staggering 6million followers, the clip has gone viral, winning her 4.9million views in just one day.
Hundreds of amazed DIY fanatics raced to comments to praise the crafty mum, with one writing: ”That’s ace!”
Another begged: ”My fishing cupboard next please.”
Someone else chimed in: ”I am so jealous of how creative and crafty you are!
”Wish I could do stuff like this! I can’t even change the door handles on my normal doors.”
”I want one but I don’t even need it,” a fourth penned.
She first shot to fame as an X Factor contestant over ten years ago, and has since gone on to have a successful TV career.
Stacey has racked up an impressive net worth of £4million, we reported earlier.
According to The Sun, accounts filed by her company Key Map Entertainments, show Stacey has £1.7million in cash in the business, as well as assets she already made through the company.
Stacey paid herself £575,931 for her work in 2021.
