IAIN STIRLING fears he is getting too old to work with all the youngsters on ITV2.
The comedian, who does the voiceover on Love Island, opened up to Russell Howard on his Wonderbox podcast about worrying over having to move to ITV4.
Iain said: “ITV2 are a young TV channel.
“I’ve been there for nine or ten years, and all of a sudden I’m a married 35-year-old with a kid.
“It’s one of my biggest fears that I’m hanging on to stuff, and it’s slowly going away, and I worry that I don’t fulfil my potential, that I don’t work hard enough – that everything will disappear.
“There’s always ITV4, but they just show re-runs of Poirot.
“There’s no place where me and Keith Lemon can host a shopping show together or something?”
A NEW female-led mystery drama is coming to Channel 5.
Tamzin Outhwaite, Angela Griffin and Jo Joyner play sisters-in-law Sylvie, Natasha and Beth in the six-part series, which sees a family unravel following a shock sudden death.
When widower Charlie, played by Jamie Bamber, starts acting suspiciously following the passing of his wife, the trio take on the challenge of finding the truth.
With Charlie’s new girlfriend Jade, played by Katie Clarkson-Hill, raising further suspicion, a web of lies including corrupt officers and drug cartels is revealed.
And it soon becomes clear the women may have bitten off more than they can chew.
Angela said: “The scripts are full of warmth, female friendship, humour, with a whodunnit in the middle.”
The Wives will air on Channel 5 later this year.

The drama, from Peaky Blinders chief Steven Knight, tells the story of a band’s formation in 1980s Birmingham.
JASON MANFORD is joining the cast of Waterloo Road as their strict new headmaster.
The comedian will play teacher Steve Savage, who is likely to ruffle feathers as he takes over from Angela Griffin’s Kim Campbell as head of the school.
Bosses are keeping Kim’s exit under wraps, but Jason will make his first appearance in series 14, which airs on BBC One later this year.
Jason said: “My kids and I binged the show on BBC iPlayer during lockdown.
“It’s such a brilliant, iconic show so I’m dead proud to now be part of its history . . . and right here in my home city of Manchester.
“Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher, and now becoming one I know I would have been terrible!”
Jason won’t be the only newcomer for the next series, with No Offence actress Saira Choudhry joining as maths teacher Nisha Chandra, alongside new students including The Last Kingdom’s Olly Rhodes as Billy Savage.
FANS of The Traitors and Big Brother would love new Channel 4 show The Jury: Murder Trial, a top former crown prosecutor claims.
Leading solicitor Nazir Afzal is part of the action in the series, which dramatises a real-life court case in front of two mock juries.
The show, which started on Monday, investigates whether two groups of people can reach the same verdict, and also asks questions of our justice system.
But Nazir thinks The Jury is very similar to top reality telly shows. He said: “If you’re watching The Traitors, or Big Brother or even Love Island, you’re watching strangers be put in a room together and just behaving as human beings do.
“Jurors are the same – it’s just the reality of what happens between strangers being put in a room together – except here they are making one of the most important decisions of their lives.
“Realistically, nobody can just leave their past experiences and their personality at the door. It’s impossible.”
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden has warned she still has five years to go until she’s officially cancer-free, despite celebrating earlier this week when her latest scan showed “no evidence of disease”.
The Welsh pro, who has a new role presenting on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV show, told its viewers: “I’ve had a lot of bone pain in my shoulder but at least it’s not cancer.
“I was so worried that it had spread to the bones. I’ve got this spring in my step and a smile on my face.
“I’ve got another shot of life.
“I wake up every day and say ‘thank you’.”
The star, who has been battling stage three breast cancer since last May, is hoping her recovery means she will be able to return to the dance floor soon.
She added: “I haven’t danced since May but I’d love to return to Strictly.
“I know it’s going to be a long process to get back on that dance floor but I know I’ll enjoy every step of the way, too.”
