MOST of us celebrate our birthdays with a gathering of our nearest and dearest and opening a special present or two.
But in the world of celebrity, the ultimate way to mark it is to take the phrase ‘birthday suit’ very literally.
Today Amanda Holden celebrated turning 53 – and her age-defying physique – by stripping off, sharing the nude photo of herself on Instagram.
The Heart FM presenter went totally starkers for the saucy snap on the edge of a cliff, which she captioned “birthday suit”.
Amanda, who has repeatedly spoken out about her refusal to cover up, previously said: “I don’t see the point in growing old gracefully.”
It’s not the first cheeky treat she’s dropped for fans on her birthday either – three years ago she posed nude on top of a three-tiered cake, decorated with roses.
She wrote: “How did This happen! Half a century… time flies.”
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda is the latest in a long line of famous faces to bear all to embrace another age milestone.

The actor, best known for the show Full House, shared a snap of himself naked outside in August last year.
Pulling a surprised expression as if he had been caught unaware, John posed in an outdoor shower with brick walls and flowers hanging from a pagoda.
Fans commented “have mercy” – the catchphrase of his Full House character Uncle Jesse – on the post, which was captioned “the other side of 60”.
