A PLUS-SIZE fashionista has been left in tears after her outfit failed to look sexy.
She ordered an eye-catching black outfit from online retailer PrettyLittleThing after being wowed by how it looked on the website’s model.
GG (@ggcurve) is steadily growing a following on TikTok, where she shares outfit inspiration for women who have a fuller figure.
She took to the social media platform to compare a photo of what she ordered from PLT to how it looked on her curvy body.
She bought the brand’s plus black ruched satin midaxi which was reduced from $32 to just $12.50 before it sold out.
The floor-length outfit with a tummy exposing cut-out detail looked stunning on the model.
However, GG was left unimpressed when she tried it on for herself.
She played the lyrics “What kind of f**kery is this? from Amy Winehouse’s hit song Me & Mr Jones in the background.
“Guys excuse my dirty mirror but I am crying,” GG said.
“I look like I cut a bed sheet up and put it on.”
She posed in the outfit from different angles before pulling up the skirt to show less of her stomach.
“Even like that just looks like it’s been handmade by a toddler,” she said pulling at the shoulder.
“Honestly how do people make things like this look sexy?
“I could not be any further from sexy if I tried. What a foul.”
GG said the dress looked like it was made by a toddler using a bed sheet[/caption]She remained in good spirits despite the wardrobe woe and said it was “funny” in the caption of her post.
“PLT fail [laughing],” she wrote alongside the hashtags #funny, #curvyfashion and #plthaul.
Thousands of people watched the video and took to the comment section in hysterics.
“PLT is the biggest con [laughing],” one person wrote.
“Liberties ain’t it,” GG replied.
“Honestly as soon as I saw PLT my cold black heart sank! They are useless,” another commented.
“Hahaha it’s so weird I find it hit and miss, but this one was ridiculous,” GG responded.
The fashion failure comes after another TikToker had a problem with a purchase from PLT’s parent company Boohoo.
Eleanor Smith (@sleevingmytroublesbheind) felt confident in a black jumpsuit and an oversized shirt as she stepped out for work.
However, her bold smile quickly disappeared when she saw how see-through the jumpsuit was in the sunlight.
“Oh no,” she said. “I’m sorry colleagues.”
“I would like to make a formal apology to anyone who saw more than they bargained for today,” she added in the caption of her video.
