THE SO-CALLED little black dress is a wardrobe staple everyone should have – but if you don’t want to fork out a fortune for one, then best get scrambling to Primark.
According to bargain hunters, the popular high street retailer is offering a showstopper of a dress they reckon looks ”identical” to Ralph Lauren’s version.
On the lookout for the so-called little black dress or LBD? Then best check out your local Primark[/caption] This £16 frock is said to be almost ‘identical’ to posh Ralph Lauren one[/caption]Priced at £16, Primark‘s new Faux Leather Contrast Mini Dress could easily be mistaken for a designer frock that will set you back by more than an astronomical £2,000.
As part of the discount brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, the Faux Leather Contrast Mini Dress could be a key staple to have, as the item can be either dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
The ”timeless” silhouette and neutral colour palette makes it the perfect choice to dress up for a night out with your friends or a date – however, throw on some tights underneath and a cosy cardigan on top and you’re ready to head to the office.
The top half of the £16b dress features a plain black relaxed t-shirt style, while the bottom half boasts a faux leather mini skirt and cuts just above your knee.
Need more convincing to plan a trip to your local Primark? As well as retailing for a total bargain deal, the dress looks almost ”identical” to Ralph Lauren’s Wool and Leather Mini Dress – which is going for a whopping £2,045.
The main differences – apart from the hefty price tag, of course – include the material and the neckline, as the posh version consists of wool and real leather and features a cosy turtle neckline.
Primark’s option, which can easily be styled with a turtleneck underneath, comes in a range of sizes, starting from a UK 6 to a UK 20.
A description of the dress on Primark’s website reads: “Office days, brunch dates and errand runs – just some of the occasions fit for this sartorial dress!
”Made with a contrasting fabric and faux leather composition, it gives the illusion of a two in one outfit.
“The dress also features a crew neckline, short sleeves and mini length, ideal for dressing up with heels and statement accessories or dressing down with canvas trainers and a biker jacket.
”With its versatile design and timeless appeal, the styling possibilities are off the charts.”
If you’ve decided to pop into your nearest Primark this weekend, then be aware – Spring has already arrived at the store and the shoppers are not happy about it.
One customer, Sienna Summers, took to TikTok to share a little peek at the homeware goodies you can now bag from the new collection – and although winter’s still in full force, Primark are already daydreaming about warmer weather.
According to Sienna, who visited the store in mid-December, the latest range boasts all things floral, including chic vases, cute mini planters, bedding with a flower pattern and baby pink candles, just to name a few.
But although Sienna quickly dubbed the new line ”adorable”, many Primark super fans were totally baffled.
Dozens raced to comments gobsmacked, wondering why the popular discount retailer was already selling Spring-inspired bargains when it’s still winter.
”Winter has literally just started,” one wrote.
”Isn’t it a little too early?” someone else wondered.
A third reminded: ”It’s DECEMBER.”
”WHY?? we’re a week into winter,” another couldn’t believe their eyes.
