A CAR expert has revealed the three hacks that all drivers need to know to make their lives easier.
Posting on TikTok under the username ‘thejerryapp’, the motors pro urged drivers to get one must-have item for their car.
Her first tip covered what to do if your car got trapped in a sticky situation.
She advises motorists whose car is stuck, to “use floor-mats to get out”.
Flooring the accelerator and hoping for the best may be the first thing that comes to most people’s minds when stuck in the mud.
But you will end up just spinning the wheels and staying in the same spot.
Putting a floor mat underneath the tire before driving off is far better with the method all about gaining traction.
The second pro-tip was to “use salt bags to help your back tire traction”.
She says that this will make it “easier to drive” when in snowy or wintry conditions.
Her third and final tip was to “use glass cleaner for your windshield and wipers”.
She pointed out that not only does it keep it clean for cheap but this will help with streaks.
As always TikTokers were quick to take to the comment section to share their views.
One said: “The weight in the trunk only works for rear wheel drive not front wheel drive.”
While another commented: “Heard sand bags were better. Salt will rust out your trunk if it gets wet.”
And a third pointed out: “Don’t put salt bags in trunk you only make a mess if it rips and to much room. Put patio brick plate instead. Thinner and heavy more trunk space.”
