John Cleese, who wrote and starred in the beloved BBC Two series as Basil Fawlty, will also be back at the helm – and this time he’ll appear with his real-life daughter Camilla Cleese.
While plot details for the reboot are said to be kept under wraps by show bosses, the show will follow Basil how he navigates the modern world.
Basil will also discover a daughter he never knew existed, with the pair tempting fate to team up and run a hotel together.
The new series is being developed by Rob Reiner’s production company Castle Rock Entertainment.
Speaking about working with Cleese, Rob said: “John Cleese is a comedy legend. Just the idea of working with him makes me laugh.”
