GOOD Morning Britain fans were left concerned about a “missing” presenter as they blasted ITV for appearing to “run out of staff.”
Viewers were treated to Adil Ray, 48, and Ranvir Singh, 45, fronting Thursday’s show as UK nurses went on strike for the first time in history.
Yet as the Good Morning Britain anchors reported on the walkout, some viewers were perplexed.
They quizzed why Adil was on the panel at all in what they dubbed a “Ben day”, referring to regular host Ben Shephard.
One tweeted: “So looks like @GMB #GMB running out of staff Martin, Ben now Adil. Whoops nearly forgot Richard so is it different tomorrow too Susanna, Kate, Ranvir, Charlotte.”
Another bluntly wrote: “WTF Is Adil doing in the studio??
“It’s a #BenDay. Thursday Ruined #GMB Over to #BBCBreakfast.”
One then shared: “Useless Adil Ray is resurrected on the day nurses strike.”
Yet others were happy to see the Lingo quiz show host in his stand-in seat.
One mused: “A real mix of diversity presenting on #GMB this morning, news reader needs a bit more practice but… Well done
@ITV.”
Another added: “GMB two great presenters on today, making my day.”
Recently viewers slammed Adil as he clashed with a GMB guest.
Don’t Pay UK member Louise was taking a stand against the spiralling cost of energy in August, on the day the price cap increased by 80 per cent to £3,549.
TV guest Louise appeared via live video link with GMB hosts Adil and his co-star Kate Garraway to discuss the rising prices.
She revealed that she was halting her payments to energy companies as a protest for the spiralling cost of energy.
However, Adil hit back asking her to fully explain the dangers of not paying – and suggesting it could cause big problems for energy companies.
Fans were left furious that the presenter had spoken to her with a “patronising” tone as he interrupted the guest live on air to suggest viewers “talk to energy providers”.
Meanwhile, he previously left viewers giggling after swearing live on air.
