From chocolate brownies to oven-baked pizzas, ovens are a lifesaver when it comes to cooking.
It is important, however, to keep your oven racks clean after each use to prevent them from getting greasy and dirty.
Using an oven is a great way to easily cook homemade meals after a long day.
If cleaned correctly, you can expect oven racks to last you a very long time.
Here is a quick way you can clean your racks, according to Bob Vila.
First, you can grab an old towel and place them at the bottom of your bathtub.
Put your oven racks on top of the towel and start adding hot water into the tub.
Add a half-cup of dishwashing soap and wait overnight.
If you are out of dishwashing soap, you can even use some baking soda and distilled white vinegar instead.
Once the oven racks have been in the tub overnight, you can start scrubbing the racks with an old dish towel or paper towel to remove all the gunk and grease.
You can even use an old toothbrush to thoroughly get all the debris out.
If there are firm spots, you can add some salt to your toothbrush before scrubbing it.
Once everything is clean, you can dry them and place them back into the oven.
If you don’t want to wait overnight or do not have access to a bathtub, you can use the orange essential oil method.
Start by mixing some baking soda, vinegar, and a couple of drops of orange essential oil.
You can then grab some damp sponge to apply the pre-made cleaning paste on the oven racks.
After about six to eight hours, you can begin scrubbing the racks to remove the grease and debris.
Go ahead and rinse the racks and place them back in the oven.
There are countless meals you can make in the oven, including salmon, chicken, and even pasta.
Aside from meals, you can bake yummy goods like brownies and cupcakes.
Here is an easy three-ingredient brownie recipe by The Big Bakes:
You will need 400g of chocolate spread, 210g of plain flour, and three eggs.
First, grease the tray or mold and put some flour on the bottom to prevent the dough from sticking.
Pour the three-ingredient mixture in, and then pop the batter into the oven at 175c for about 25 to 35 minutes before enjoying a gooey slice of brownie.
