CLEANING our homes is something that many of us will put off doing – after all, life is busy and things can get in the way.
For some, cleaning is just not on the agenda and is always the last thing on the ever-growing to-do-list.
But that’s where the Queens of Clean come in handy – Charnel, Luke, Lola and Adam – a new generation of professional cleaners and organisers who are on a mission to help people ditch the dirt, clean the clutter and change their lives.
E4’s hit cleaning show, Dirty House Rescue: Queens of Clean, sees the fabulous four visit homes of those in need of a helping hand when it comes to cleaning.
In tonight’s episode, the Queens helped Matt turn his pigsty into a home and take on Steve’s flatmate from hell.

In episode seven of the series, Charnel and Lola headed to London to visit Steve, while Adam and Luke went to Cambridgeshire to help 27-year-old farmer Matt.
As a busy farmer, Matt revealed that he struggles to find time to clean his home and his boot room is an absolute mess.
He said: “We don’t really enjoy spending time in it [home].
“The boot room is filthy because all the muddy boots just get dumped in there.

“It would be nice to have a home that actually feels like a home”.
As Adam and Luke took a look around the home, it was full of dirt, dog hair and even soil.
Even Adam was left coughing at the smell, as he said: “The smell is hitting, it’s dirt, dust and a lot of mud.
“The smell just hits you in the face, there’s dirt all over the skirting boards.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen such thick spider webs, this muck is on another level”.
Matt explained that with his busy schedule, he struggles to find time to clean, but it’s gotten so bad that he puts off social plans at his home because he doesn’t want people to see the inside of his home.
He revealed: “Looking at it every day, I just can’t get on top of this myself, I really need some help to do it”.
The Queens got to work and helped Matt give his home a clean, as they revealed their simple hacks to get his filthy home sparkling.
Luke revealed his secret for getting grubby walls clean again – using fabric softener.
Luke mixed some fabric softener with water, leaving Matt stunned as he watched Luke showing off his hack, as he wowed: “I’m surprised at how much is coming off, it’s white, not brown”.
Luke explained: “That is so simple and so quick and people don’t realise”.
Over at Steve’s house with Charnel and Lola, Steve’s spare room is covered in boxes – so much so that you can barely see the floor.
The room has quickly been taken over by clothes, wigs and more, all for Steve’s drag act Orla.
Steve revealed he dreads having people over, as he doesn’t want them to see the mess, but alongside working a 40-hour job and doing shows on the side, he feels as though he doesn’t have the time to clean and sort his spare room.
Steve’s friend described the home as “chaos” and said: “It was always a bit stressful coming to stay”.
When starting to clean the spare room, the Queens found that a lot of Steve’s clothes were covered in harsh makeup stains, to which the Queens shared their simple hack for removing this with barely any faff involved.
Lola explained: “Makeup stains can be hard to get out of clothes.
“But my weapon of choice against makeup stains is shaving foam.
“What’s really good about this is you already have it in your home.
“You can just leave it on there, leave it for 15 minutes to soak in”.
After just 15 minutes, once the shaving foam is rubbed in, the harsh stains instantly vanish.
Steve said: “This is something that every single drag queen needs to know”.

Another tip that Lola shared was for removing mould.
She explained: “I bought my little friend – hydrogen peroxide.
“Typically this is used for cuts but today it’s going to be a mould murderer.
“It’s super tough on mould – spray it on and leave it to soak for a few minutes.
