ONE fashion YouTuber thinks it’s sad that people save Pinterest outfits they want to try when they’re skinny.
Size 10 influencer Susie decided to recreate popular model looks from the platform to see how they would fit her body, and she looked fabulous.
“Body image has completely to do with your mindset and not that much to do with your actual body,” Susie says in her recent video.
The Australia-based creator admits in the past, she viewed outfits and thought she needed to be skinny to wear them.
However, now she’s grown to love, understand, and respect her body as is.
“I have the most confidence I’ve ever had in my life,” Susie admits.

In her video, Susie puts together looks similar to those on other women’s “outfits I’ll wear when I’m skinny” Pinterest boards.
“Looking through these Pinterest boards makes me so sad,” she says.
“What a waste to be so into fashion to be too scared to wear it yourself.”
Susie picks Pinterest outfits that include clothing items she has that look similar.
First, Susie chooses a classic look from fashion mogul Emma Chamberlin.
For this casual outfit, Susie uses an oversized grey crewneck, a white turtleneck long-sleeve, black flared leggings, and New Balance 550 sneakers.
She accessorizes with a white headband and rectangular sunglasses, just like Emma does.
“Oh my god, I love this,” Susie exclaims.
A summery look is up next.
The model in the Pinterest picture is wearing rolled-up jean shorts and a puffy short-sleeve top.
Although the model’s shirt is a floral print, Susie uses her plaid green version of it.
She puts on a pair of denim shorts and keeps the headband on.
“It’s really hard to find denim shorts that fit thicker thighs. I feel like it takes a long time to find a pair of denim shorts that fit you. I do think these ones are really cute, though,” Susie admits.
However, they restrict her a little when she sits down and elicit a bit of chafing.
“I do love this outfit,” she proclaims.
Susie notices a lot of mini dresses across these Pinterest boards.
“I saw a lot of floral dresses in particular,” she explains.
She chooses to put on another short-sleeve puffy option but in dress form.
Susie tries on her pink and white floral print pick and obsesses over how good it looks on her.
“I think these dresses are so beautiful and so flattering. Honestly, I really encourage you if you’ve been scared to try one of these dresses on, try it on,” Susie admits.
“I think you’d be surprised by how you’d like it on yourself. And yeah, I have a little bit of a tummy when I turn to the side but does it not look super cute?”
Switching to fall fashion, Susie pulls inspiration from a picture of a model wearing nude jeans, a black crop top, and a flannel.
Susie slips into nude high-waisted pants, a black cropped tank top, and a blue flannel shirt.
“This is so cute styled this way. This outfit is so cute. I’m in love with it,” she says.
Keeping with the plaid, Susie tries a plaid skirt Pinterest look.
She puts on a green plaid tennis skirt, a white top, and a cream denim jacket.
“I’m not in love with the skirt. I just know this isn’t quite my style,” she proclaims.
For the last outfit, Susie admits to choosing a risky look.
“Low-rise jeans were popular back in 2000. It was kind of the idea that you basically had to have a flat stomach to wear low-rise pants then. Everyone wanted to be skinny,” Susie explains.
“But if you wanna wear low-rise pants, you do not by any means have to have a flat stomach.”
Embracing the style, Susie chooses to pair her low-rise jeans with a cropped corset top.
“I love the way low-rise jeans make your butt look,” she admits.
However, Susie does say her pair is more mid-rise.
