CHRISTMAS is the busiest time of year to secure a delivery slot, so you will want to make a note of these key dates.
Delivery slots for the festive period are usually snapped up fast so you won’t want to hang around.
Exact date Christmas supermarket delivery slots are released[/caption]And this year, supermarkets are prepping for the festive season early as households look spread the cost of Christmas as the cost of living bites.
Most supermarkets release delivery slots for Christmas in November, but there are a few retailers taking books this month.
The Sun approached Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Iceland, Aldi and Ocado to find out when they will be releasing the slots, so you can mark the date in your calendar to make sure you get one.
But shoppers are being told to order as early as possible where they can, so it could be worth planning ahead and getting items that won’t go off.

And this year, Asda is offering a home delivery service on Christmas Eve for the first time.
The supermarket giant said the service will be available in all 633 stores, and the last slots will be between 3pm and 4pm.
Asda will also be operating delivery services from a limited number of stores on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

You can also pay an upfront fee of £47.94 if you don’t want to pay monthly.
The supermarket’s anytime click and collect plan, priced at £2.49 a month, gives priority access to click and collect Christmas slots.
But the supermarket’s off peak delivery plan doesn’t offer priority access to Christmas delivery slots.
Morrisons is also yet to confirm when shoppers will be able to book a Christmas delivery slot.
But judging by when they have been released in the past, it is likely to be next month.

The cheaper Tuesday to Thursday pass is £5 a month.
You’ll save more if you can pay for a longer pass up front: it’s £50 for six months or £40 for a year.
If you want the Monday to Sunday option, it’s £8 a month, £40 for six months or £65 a year.
The Sun has asked Iceland when its Christmas delivery slots will be going live, and we will update this story when we know more.
Last year, Iceland launched hundreds of thousands of delivery slots in the two weeks before Christmas.
Iceland doesn’t do delivery passes, instead, it offers free next-day delivery on orders over £40.
Aldi launched its Christmas click and collect slots to shoppers in November last year.
The discount supermarket is yet to reveal this year’s key dates.
Last year, shoppers could book a slot on Aldi’s website and pick up their shopping up in a one-hour collection window between December 19 and December 23.
Ocado gave Smart Pass members – who pay a monthly subscription fee – the chance to schedule their festive food shop from September 30.
But some furious shoppers were left frustrated after the popular Christmas slots were released without notice.
All Ocado customers can now access Christmas grocery delivery and collection slots.
They run from Tuesday, 20 to Saturday, December 24. All slots cost £3.
