A BEAUTICIAN who spent £5,000 a year turning herself into a real-life Barbie with cosmetic fillers quit when she could not recognise herself.
Emily Spence, 28, got hooked on the treatment aged 18 and in 2018 alone had her lips, jaw, chin and cheeks done.
She also had surgery to change her jaw shape and got a boob job.
Now, she has had the fillers dissolved and has vowed not to give her clients fillers if she feels they are not doing it for the right reasons.
Emily, from Chesterfield, Derbs, put her former addiction down to body dysmorphia, where sufferers are obsessed with their appearance.
She said: “I turned myself into a Barbie.

“I just didn’t look like me anymore. Now I’ve had a lot of it stripped back. I would never let a client take it too far.”
Emily says she uses her knowledge as a qualified nurse when talking to clients about treatments.
She said: “I enhance people’s natural beauty whilst keeping them looking like their own identity.
“I would never let a client take it too far so that they didn’t look like themselves anymore like I did.”
