COMEDIAN Jayde Adams has been announced as the fifth contestant signed up to appear on BBC favourite Strictly Come Dancing.
But who is she, and what other TV shows has she been on?
Jayde Adams is a British comedian, actress, writer and singer from Bristol.
The 37-year-old began her career doing stand-up comedy in 2011.
Jayde’s work won her the Funny Women award in 2014 and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2016.
In August 2016, Adams wrote and performed in 31, her debut at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.
She’s since appeared on various TV programmes as a comedy performer and has had her own special on Amazon Prime.
She’s currently performing her stand-up show Men, I Can Save You at the Edinburgh Fringe.

She’s now set to appear on hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing in 2022.
She announced she’d be appearing BBC Radio 5 Live on August 6, 2022.
During a chat with Scott Mills and Chris Stark she said:
“Since I watched the first series in 2004, I feel like every step I’ve taken in my career over the last 11 years was to be on Strictly.
“I cannot begin to express the emotions I am feeling, this means so much to me and my family.”
Jayde has dated fellow comedian Rich Wilson.
The pair performed on tour together and collaborated on Save Live Comedy shows with “Pub Landlord” Al Murray at the Clapham Grand which were streamed live in August 2020.
Her current relationship status is unknown.
Jayde has appeared in a number of popular TV shows as a comedy panellist, and as an actress.
It’s clear that her television career is continuing to go from strength-to-strength, but her net worth is not known.
Jayde made her TV debut in December 2015 in Russell Howard‘s A Gert Lush Christmas.
She has also been a panellist on Channel 4‘s comedy quiz shows, 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
In 2017, Adams appeared alongside Lenny Henry, Miranda Hart, Dawn French, Graham Norton, David Tennant to perform stand up for Red Nose Day.
The comedian entered the streaming world in 2019 as she starred in Amazon Prime‘s Good Omens.
In 2020, Jayde’s Amazon Prime Stand up Special Serious Black Jumper hit the streaming platform.

She also appeared in BAFTA-winning comedy Alma’s Not Normal, yet-to-be-released Take That film Greatest Days, The Outlaws on BBC One, and also stars in upcoming ITV2 series Ruby Speaking, which she also co-created.
