BRIDEZILLAS have been known to be a bit demanding regarding their weddings and bridal showers.
But one bride’s over-the-top request has Reddit users in a frenzy, saying that she is “ridiculous” for her reaction to a homemade gift.
A woman took to Reddit’s forum ‘Am I the A**hole?’ for advice about her situation.
“I have a friend who is getting married next month,” she wrote on the site.
“A year ago, after the wedding was announced, the Bride pulled me aside and showed me a pattern for an ‘I Corinthians 13’ cross stitch sampler she said she wanted me to do to ‘commemorate the wedding.”
So instead of buying a gift off the registry, the Reddit poster worked extensively on a massive cross-stitch present for the wedding.
She continued: “I agreed, despite knowing it would be a lot of work.
“It is finished. It is framed. It is 15″ by 25″, and I am glad I never have to look at this thing under a headlamp again.”
But unfortunately, this was not enough for the bride-to-be.
The bride turned bridezilla and still wanted her to buy her a gift from the registry.
She continued: “The bride contacts me tonight and says that she noticed I haven’t bought anything off the registry yet.
The woman went on to explain her financial situation of having a “very low income,” and the bride suggested to “hurry and get a gift before all the affordable ones are taken.”
“I told her I wasn’t getting her anything off of the registry.”
She told the bride that the framing and materials cost more than $75 and that she could not afford to buy her a gift.
Then the bride did the unthinkable and still demanded a gift.
“I said I am bringing her a gift, and one that I worked very hard on, on linen with silk threads that she requested,” she wrote.
But the bride rejected the homemade gift as a bridal gift, arguing that it didn’t count because she had requested it.
“I said that registries are basically the same thing, asking for specific things you want.”
The bride then called the woman an “a**hole” and hung up the phone.
Reddit users came for the bride’s antics and thought she was being ridiculous.
“That’s some next-level entitlement,” a user commented.

“This is probably the most heartfelt gift she is going to receive,” another wrote.
“The bride is being absolutely ridiculous. You should never ever contact somebody to ask them why they haven’t bought something off of your wedding registry, that is so insanely tacky,” the Reddit user continued.
