WHEN it comes time to decorate your home, there are a few mistakes you’ll most likely want to avoid.
Certain items that look amazing in the aisle of your favorite store might not look so great once you get home, according to one woman.
Wall decor with quotes written on the front isn’t a good buy, she says[/caption]TikToker and interior designer Nifty Nest posted a video highlighting eight items she doesn’t think anyone should buy.
The first group of items she rejects is framed quotes and pieces of wood with motivational words carved into the front.
The second group of items she rejects is balls of made of twine, typically used for centerpieces.
Nifty says: “Sorry but these look like little tumbleweeds of dust.”

Fake fruit is another no-go, according to Nifty.
She scans over clear containers of plastic lemons, apples, and more before simply saying: “Nope.”
Any lemon-themed decor is unacceptable to Nifty.
“Unless you’re running a lemonade stand, nope,” she says.
After that, she advises her TikTok viewers against purchasing table runners.
She says: “Sorry. Table runners… I don’t like them.”
Some of the items Nifty actually gave her a stamp of approval to include organizational boxes, bowls for entertaining, and wooden cutting boards.

She replied: “I like to keep it simple. Either a candlestick with candles, a large pretty bowl, etc. I tend to keep mine bare because we use it often.”
“I have learned so much from you. Thank you for your wonderful post. Keep them coming!” someone else added.
