What was unusual was their disappearance for several days until police found them dead in the water.
The bodies of Kyle Morrman Jr., 5, Kyrannah Holland, 2, and Kyran Holland, 1, were found submerged in a Black Saab, a vehicle matching the description of their father’s car.
The deceased family was confirmed to be the Morrmans on Wednesday by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.

Police are still investigating how this tragedy occurred.
IMPD Assistant Chief Chris Bailey said, “we know a man and three young kids are dead tonight. We don’t know why and we don’t know how.”
While police are questioning the events leading up to the family’s death, relatives are questioning the police’s effectiveness in this case.
The Moorman family had been missing for about a week before police found their bodies, according to IndyStar news.
Relatives were frustrated that the police didn’t search the pond sooner.
“They should have at least tried,” William Muse, a family member of Kyle Moorman’s mother, told IndyStar.
When asked why the pond was not searched sooner, Bailey said investigators “follow up multiple leads” and said that they were just following procedure.
Kyle and his children were last seen on July 6 around 11pm, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
However a missing persons report had not been filed until July 9.
On Monday, Mariah Moorman, Kyle’s sister, said that Kyle’s phone last pinged near the pond around 12.48am on July 7, according to IndyStar.
Mariah told the outlet, “As far as we know, he was coming out here to go fishing. That’s what he told my sister. It’s not odd. He does it all the time. They go night fishing a lot.”
Family and friends searched the pond and its surrounding area for several days, according to the news outlet.
Family and friends even offered a $10,000 reward for information that could help find Kyle and his children.
A private helicopter and volunteers with a personal boat helped search the area on Tuesday afternoon, according to the outlet.
The authorities only started searching the area with flashlights and K-9s on Tuesday night.
