Witnesses described hiding under a stage as others took off on foot to escape the gun violence during the fireworks show along Ben Franklin Parkway.

Both officers who were shot were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated and released.

One of the officers was assigned to a bomb squad and the other to highway patrol, cops said in an update.
The bomb squad officer was struck in the right shoulder while the highway patrol officer suffered a graze wound to the forehead.
Both officers are recovering at home while the shooter is still at large.
Few details about what led up to the shooting were released as of early Tuesday.
Officers have yet to uncover a motive in the shooting and asked the public to come forward with any information or video related to the incident.
Crowds of people celebrating Independence Day were seen fleeing the area after the shooting.
Local reporters described personal items like purses, shoes, and expensive AirPods left behind as festival attendees took off running.
