She’s 23, I’m 25 and we’ve been friends since we were 18.
For the last five years, she was in a relationship with a complete waster. All he wanted to do was game with his friends.
When they split in April, I thought I’d finally have a chance to tell her how I feel.
But last week, at a dinner with all our friends, she came out as gay. She also revealed she’s dating a girl from work.
Every problem gets a personal reply, usually within 24 hours weekdays.

I’m finding it really tough being around her at the moment as I’m struggling to hide my disappointment.
Do I have to walk away from this friendship?
DEIDRE SAYS: Unrequited love is painful, as there’s no closure. But it would be a shame to walk away from this friendship.
You may need some space if you are to properly get over her, and talking to someone impartial will help.
