LOVE Island fans aren’t messing about this year – insisting single Liam Llewellyn should be sent home.
Many have insisted the brutal treatment given to Shannon Singh, who was evicted after just hours in the villa, should apply this series too.
One even insisted it was “sexism” that meant student Liam has been allowed to stay on in the villa.
However, many were glad the merciless twist which put paid to Shannon’s promising Love Island appearance wasn’t repeated.
Nonetheless, several pointed out the difference in rules, with one fan writing: “They didn’t kick Liam out but they kicked Shannon out on day 2 last year?”
Another tweeted: “I’m confused wasn’t Shannon in the same position as Liam last year but Shannon got dumped and Liam didn’t.”

A third posted: “So liam gets the whole week in the villa but shannon got kicked out after the first day last series? awrite, cool x.”
However, others cheered the change of format, with one writing: “So glad they didn’t dump Liam right away like they did to Shannon…they did her so dirty.”
Last year, she was left as a singleton by late arrival Chloe Burrows choosing to couple up with Aaron Francis.
Producers opted for the same twist in the current series, but instead bringing a man – hunky Davide – into the mix.
He chose to couple up with Gemma Owen, leaving poor Liam single and in risk of going home.
