SOME big brands do not shy away from using social media for creative marketing strategies.
In fact, one popular fast-food chain used one of its social media pages to hide a surprising fact.
A TikTok user named Cheryl reposted a video of a man explaining the fact he found “so ridiculous he didn’t believe it until he looked it up himself.”
So many people found the fact shocking that it drew in 4.6 million views on TikTok.
The man’s “ridiculous” fact deals with the fast-food chain KFC and who they follow on social media.
The man explained: “The restaurant Kentucky Fried Chicken follows exactly 11 people on Twitter.

“Six of them are random men named Herb. The remaining five are former members of the Spice Girls.
“Which means the KFC account on Twitter is only interested in 11 herbs and spices.”
KFC’s website boasts that the world-famous chicken contains a secret blend of 11 herbs and spices, and it would seem the brand decided to sneak that fact in on Twitter.
A scroll through KFC’s Twitter confirms that the chain only follows the five members of the Spice Girls: Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham.
Plus, the brand follows Herb Scribner, Herb J. Wesson Jr, Herb Waters, Herb Dean, Herb Sendek, and Herb Alpert.
Several people were in stitches over this fun fact, like one who wrote: “That’s hysterical omg.”
Another added: “The marketing team high-fived after doing this.”
Someone else commented: And I’m officially deceased, well played KFC, well played,” while another quipped: “This made my day lol.”
