BARCELONA are reportedly working tirelessly to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
The 33-year-old is set to leave Bayern this summer after failing to agree a new contract with the club.
Barcelona are still working on recruiting Lewandowski from Bayern[/caption]Lewandowski’s contract ends in the summer of 2023, and Barca are keen on bringing him to the Nou Camp when this season draws to a close.
The Catalan giants will do everything in their power to sign the Polish international on a three-year deal, reports claim.
Xavi’s side are desperate for a leader to fill the void left by Lionel Messi when he joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
But despite Barca’s desire to recruit Lewandowski, they’ve yet to table a bid for the goal machine who’s bagged 33 Bundesliga goals in 31 games this season.

That’s according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano who claims the LaLiga outfit are waiting for Bayern to finish contract negotiations with Lewandowski.
He also states that Lewandowski’s fully aware of Barca’s interest – but the German outfit have priority in discussions.
However, Barca are in constant contact with Lewandowski’s agent and have been since February, the report concludes.
Barca’s cause may be helped by Bayern’s interest in West Ham flop Sebastien Haller.

The Bundesliga Champions have identified the rejuvenated Ajax striker as a possible replacement for Lewandowski.
The Ivory Coast ace’s 33-goal return in 39 games for the Eredivisie titans has caught Bayern’s attention.
Bayern won’t have to break the bank either as the Daily Mail report that Ajax will let Haller leave for £33.5million.
Although they’ll have to meet the Eredivisie’s top scorer’s wage demands of £8.4m annually, the report adds.
However, Haller’s boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly interested in bringing the 22-year-old to Old Trafford when he takes over as Manchester United boss this summer.
