“I found out I was pregnant in March of my eighth grade year, and it is currently April in her eighth grade year.

US-based Jennica revealed she had been dating her boyfriend for a year and they had been safe when it came to using contraception.

Jennica said: “Annica’s dad and I started dating at the end of seventh grade, it had almost been a year at this point.
“We had taken all the right precautions to not get pregnant. Plus I’m a good kid, it’s not going to happen to me.
“That was me young, obviously very immature, didn’t have any brain cells yet.”
Jennica said a rumour had started at school that she was pregnant, and it got back to her mum who bought her a test to check.
She said: “I very confident sit it down and think this is a waste of everybody’s time.
“Five minutes later I hear this [screaming noise].
“I got in there and my mum is like ‘why does this say positive’ and I say ‘this is obviously wrong, I am not pregnant.’”
Jennica was taken for an ultrasound which confirmed she was six months pregnant with a baby girl.
She said: “I was genuinely scared, at this point in my life I was very obedient.
“As soon as she said it’s a girl, it took my breath away and I realised what was happening.
“I had her two and a half months later.”
She said in a Q&A video that her parents were “furious obviously” at the news.
Jennica said: “It was a very hard pregnancy and it was hard to feel joy without feeling guilt immediately.
“My mum was definitely upset, she was the strictest mum.
“It instantly becomes not about you anymore and it becomes about getting a healthy baby in the world.”
Despite their upset, they were hugely supportive and a few months later, Jennica went into labour.
She recalled how she was horrified when she found out the name of midwife who would be helping her at the hospital.
She explained: “Two of my best friend’s mums work here and I’m like ‘please can it not be one of them that has to put their fingers in my –’
“Of course we get there and it is one of my best friend’s mums.”
Fourteen hours of labour and an epidural later, little Annica was born.
Jennica said: “I was in absolute shock and awe. It was a bubble when it was just me and her around.
“I didn’t get to miss any school, I still never really showed, I also had my period the entire pregnancy.”
She moved out of home with her four-year-old daughter at the age of 18 and lived in a one-bedroom flat for college, and described the experience as “wonderful.”
Jennica is now a YouTuber with 293,000 subscribers, alongside a full-time job, and hopes to help other teen mums with her story.
She calls her and daughter Annica the “real life Gilmore Girls” thanks to their close bond.
The mum said that most people ask about the dad and if he is still on the scene.
Jennica said: “This is my story that I am telling. I am a single mum.
“He still sees her, I don’t want to say anything, I don’t think it is my place.
“We broke up around her first birthday. It was because we were really young.

“If you think back to the eighth grade and think who you were dating and if you’d still be with them now, the answer is probably no.”
Speaking of her teen pregnancy, the young mum said: “All this to say don’t touch boys, don’t look at boys, don’t be around boys.
“Anyway I got knocked up and here we are 14 years later.”
