AS Apple issued a range of new emojis, we ask what the sensational biting lip emoji really means.
Apple issued an update of its iOS 15.4, and on it is the biting lip emoji.
This exotic emoji can mean a number of things.
The emoji is a mouth with the top teeth biting down on one side of the lower lip.
This creative icon is typically used in romantic contexts as a form of flirtation or arousal.
It can also mean expressing anticipation or excitement, as well as expressing anxiety, pain, worry, or insecurity.
The biting lip emoji is also available on Google, Twitter and Emojipedia, and each is designed slightly different.
According to The Cut, the biting lip emoji should only be used to express arousal.
But that’s not all.
You can use the icon to express moment of excitement, panic, anxiety, as well as worry and uncertainty.
Since iOS 15 was released in September 2021, some 217 new emojis have been added on.
The latest update saw 123 new emojis added to the catalogue, according to Emojipedia.
Among those are “10 non-standard Handshake emoji combinations” where one of the hands does not feature a skin tone modifier.
There are also palm up hands, palm down hands and index finger-pointing.
The new emojis include:
