The beauty market is saturated with products and supplements that promise to boost your collagen. With myriad supplements to choose from, including tablets, powder and liquid, it’s difficult to know what works best.
However, there’s one brand that seems to be breaking out from the pack. I wanted to know: is Revive Collagen worth its weight in gold, as some have claimed? I’ve reviewed it for five months to test if it really is spot on.

Before diving into the Revive Collagen review, it’s important to understand the actual benefits of taking collagen supplements. After all, supplements are often met with cynicism but in the beauty world, collagen is making a huge noise as more of us realise the benefits of taking it.
Collagen – which is found naturally in the body and plays a crucial role in skin’s elasticity and firmness – has been proven to start declining once we hit our mid-twenties. As our bodies begin to produce less of the protein, our skin begins to lose its ability to bounce back, resulting in sagginess, wrinkles, less elasticity and a general appearance of dull skin.
According to Revive Collagen, “the decline starts at a rate of 1.5 per cent a year and by the age of 60, most women have lost 80 per cent of their collagen levels”.

So, with that in mind, the benefits of taking collagen supplements are huge. And though results speak for themselves, what makes it stand out is that each sachet of Revive Collagen contains between 8,500mg and 10,000mg of high-quality marine collagen.
This is compared to other collagen supplements that generally include around 6,000mg – 8,000 mg per sachet. Revive also contains a mix of additional skin and hair care ingredients (retinol, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, keratin) and essential vitamins (B6, B12, C & D).
An additional note to put this all into context: you need to ingest at least 6,000mg of collagen peptides daily to trigger the cells responsible for collagen production in the dermis (your inner layer of skin). It is taken daily and can be drunk straight from the sachet, or mixed with flavoured water. It comes in a beautiful dusky pink package, with each box sliding open to reveal 14 sachets.
Since launching, Revive Collagen has become the fastest growing collagen brand in the UK and has hundreds of positive reviews with customers reporting noticeable benefits to their hair, skin, nails and overall wellbeing within six to eight weeks.
All products are dairy free, gluten free, soy free, lactose free with no artificial sweeteners or colours.
Collagen is definitely something you want a healthy amount of, as its benefits extend far beyond giving your skin a healthy glow. As a complex protein, it provides support to the health of muscles, fingernails, bones, fascia, teeth, blood vessels, and hair.
The reason why I swear by it is because, having been on it for nearly half a year, my body has benefited hugely. Not only has the skin on my face become more smooth, acne free and plump, but my nails and hair are the strongest they have ever been. As someone who has suffered with brittle nails and hair for so long, having no nail breakages or split ends feels like a miracle, and it’s all down to this supplement.

However, Samantha Faiers is Revive’s co-founder, meaning she has been involved in every part of the product development and is at the core of the brand. Meanwhile, Amanda Holden, one of its ambassadors, swears by it.
And I can understand why. For five months I’ve been on the daily supplement, and my 48-year-old skin has never felt better. Within two weeks of taking it, friends were commenting on how much I was glowing and it took the same amount of time for my middle-aged acne – which had plagued me since I hit my forties – to completely disappear.
Even numerous lotions and potions prescribed by my GP and dermatologist failed to have the same effect; they may have helped remove the spots but they soon came back. However, since being on Revive Collagen, my skin has remained pimple free.
And it is not just my complexion that has cleared up: the saggy skin that became even more apparent on my lockdown zoom calls seems to be less noticeable. There is no doubt the collagen has put a spring to my cheeks too and its anti-inflammatory ingredients have boosted the appearance of my face.
