MANY people will be using the New Year to get their finances in order after Christmas.
And one woman has revealed her FiloFax trick that forces her to stop spending money on useless things – and it’s helping her clear her debts.
TikTok user Nikki, who posts under @dylandfyn, showed how she allocates her notes into a wallet binder so she has enough for each expenditure.
She wrote: “First time stuffing our money wallet.
“2022 Week 1”.
Nikki showed how she puts aside different amounts for various areas of her life, from petrol, to days out and Christmas.
Each week, she adds the amount she has written to each section, such as £15 on takeaway or £5 on toiletries.
This helps her to budget the money she has available and helps her put any money that is leftover into tackling her debt.
She explained: “Some people don’t need to do this.”
Nikki added that if she doesn’t give herself a budget for each item, she would just spend her money “for fun.”
She explained: “I have tried so many different ways but find the money is easily spent or not saved to begin with when in the account.
“This pays my debt off quicker.”
She added that she got her saving wallet for £12 from Amazon.
Many people were highly impressed with her technique, with one saying: “Love this.”
