KYLIE Jenner was slammed by critics for “faking a disability” by posing in a wheelchair in a resurfaced photo from 2015.
The reality star upset fans after a disability blogger shared the throwback photo on social media.
In the pic, Kylie is sitting in a wheelchair wearing a shiny leather bodysuit along with a choker around her neck and buckles wrapped around her ankles.
She’s donning a full face of makeup with her short jet black hair framing out her face as she gazes forward, gripping the wheels of the chair.
The photoshoot was for a magazine publication to highlight the star’s “surreal life” as a result of her fame.
A vlogger and activist for people with disabilities reposted the cover on Twitter, refueling fans anger over the controversial photo.
They wrote: “It’s a good day to remember that Kylie Jenner, Instagram’s 3rd most followed person, did this cover 6 years ago to represent the “disability” caused by her fame. Atrocious. But it didn’t mark her career because disability only serves for a temporary discomfort.”
Others took to the comments to voice their frustrations as well with one writing: “Such a rough life she has. Ever check out this young billionaire’s philanthropy portfolio & ratio?”
Another agreed replying: “Omg. I’ve never seen this before. HOW tf did she get away with this??”
A third user called the photo “disgusting,” explaining why it is offensive to those with disabilities: “All this does is make me sob. Her life is so hard … she didn’t loose her ability to walk. She doesn’t know the struggles of trying to afford proper medical equipment let alone , the level of disrespect . I’m disgusted .”
A fourth person addressed her “blackfishing” claims replying: “This was right before all the blackfishing. What even is the real Kylie?”
Kylie has been accused on numerous occasions of “blackfishing,” which is seen as a type of cultural appropriation.
Back in March she was called out after sharing a short clip of her face, in which critics claimed she had “completely changed skin color”.
And back in October, the beauty mogul came under fire while filming herself and Kendall in the car on the way to their sister Kourtney’s engagement party with Travis Barker.
Critics pointed out the siblings’ noticeably darker skin in the short video.
One wrote on Reddit: “Filter or blackfishing?” as another responded, “I think blackfishing?!”
Another chimed in: “Ok if THIS is not blackfishing what is?? This is literal blackface.”
Blackfishing refers to someone pretending to be Black or mixed-race using things like hairstyling and make-up.
The 24-year-old has kept quiet in recent weeks following the Astroworld Festival, in which 10 people died and hundreds were injured as her baby daddy Travis Scott, 30, performed.
One day after the tragedy took place in November, Travis took to social media to apologize.
Kylie also shared a statement, writing that she and Travis were “devastated.”
The couple are parents to three-year-old daughter Stormi, and are expecting their second child together.
