MANCHESTER City stars Jack Grealish and Phil Foden were dropped from a match by furious boss Pep Guardiola after a night out left them unfit to train properly.
The pair were pictured partying after helping City hammer Leeds United 7-0 in the Premier League last week.
The England stars were due to take part in a gentle recovery session the morning after the game.
But they were deemed not 100 per cent — and manager Pep then dropped them for Sunday’s 4-0 win at Newcastle United.
The disciplinarian made clear his annoyance at their actions by revealing why he had made changes to the team, saying: “At Christmas, I pay a lot of attention to behaviour on and off the pitch.
“And when off the pitch is not proper, they are not going to play.”
Foden, 21 — in a relationship with childhood sweetheart Rebecca Cooke — was sent home from England duty in September last year after he and Man United’s Mason Greenwood smuggled two girls into the hotel in Iceland, breaching Covid guidelines.
And in November 2020, Grealish, 26, partied at a friend’s flat during lockdown hours after telling fans to stay home and protect the NHS.
The star, then at Aston Villa, later crashed his £80,000 Range Rover and admitted two counts of careless driving.
He is dating model Sasha Attwood.
Yesterday, ex-Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan labelled £100million man Grealish a “moron”.
He said: “They’ve had their cards marked now.”
