STRICTLY The Real Full Monty fans rejoiced this evening as the brave stars stripped totally naked.
The male and female participants exposed their bods in front of an audience together after performing a strip tease on stage.
It was an emotional night for the celebrities, with many including ex Strictly pro James Jordan paying tribute to relatives lost to cancer.
All of the celebs taking part had been impacted by cancer in some way – including James, whose dad lost his life to the disease.
Christine McGuinness’ mum is battling breast cancer and two of Coleen Nolan’s sisters are currently fighting it.
The show aims to raise cancer awareness, encouraging fans to check their bodies regularly and seek medical support if required.
The celebs were anxious about going buff in front of a crowd, particularly the women who were nervous about joining the men for the grand reveal.
However, the performance, a 1940s-themed routine choreographed by Ashley Banjo in the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, went without a hitch – with the lengthy routine reaching its climax as the men stripped to thongs and the ladies to their underwear.
At the very end, the men pulled off their pants – going full frontal in front of the crowd.
The women, who’d taken off their bras and were covering up with feather fans, then removed the fans so that they were topless.
The entire group looked jubilant at the end of the show – pleased to have made it through.
And fans at home could not hide their excitement that they got through the nerve-wracking performance too – heaping praise on the stars for daring to bare.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: ‘#StrictlyTheRealFullMonty great show again. Well done all of you. Emotional hurdles over come.”
Another agreed: “How amazing was The Real Full Monty? Well done all, a powerful message delivered in such an inspiring way.”
Yesterday, The Real Full Monty star Martin Roberts revealed the hugely emotional reason why he signed up to strip off.
The Homes Under The Hammer frontman, 57, told the first of two ITV episodes he was having to battle “a lot of stuff right now” as the celebrity team prepared to rehearse.
Martin opened up on the “internal emotions” that centred around his friend Dave’s passing from bowel cancer.
Referring to his pal as the “brother I never had” he opened up and said: “I don’t want to be too dramatic but I’m actually really emotional.
“As a child I was fat and I was bullied all the way throughout school.
“It takes a lot to get over that body image thing and there’s no way in a million years I’d be doing this if it wasn’t for doing it in memory of Dave.
“He was my friend, my best mate, who died. Dave was the brother I never had.
“You don’t realise until you’ve lost someone quite how pivotal and important they were.
“I know what I am doing this for is the bigger picture, but for right now, for me personally, this is a real struggle.”
Dave sadly passed away four years ago after failing to get himself checked for cancer.
The duo’s friendship had spanned 30 years.
The Full Monty viewers also praised Laila Morse for bravely baring all and revealing the scars from her breast cancer surgery.
The EastEnders favourite, 76, ditched her bra and proudly raised the feathers covering her chest.
Laila opened up about her breast cancer battle which started in 2000 when she found a lump.
The soap star, who is known for playing Big Mo, worked with late actress Wendy Richards on EastEnders and they became best friends.
She revealed how she credits Wendy with “saving her life” when she convinced her to go to the doctors.
It turned out that Laila’s lump was cancer, but luckily because it was diagnosed early, it was treatable.
Wendy sadly endured her own breast cancer battle, which in the end claimed her life.
The late actress was diagnosed with the disease in 1996, and after years of treatment, she was given a clean bill of health in 2005.
Sadly her cancer returned and she died in 2009.
Former Love Island contestant Demi Jones took part tonight after revealing she is cancer free.
The reality TV personality announced she had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May.
She had been updating her followers on Instagram since discovering a lump in her neck in early April.
Sharing a photo of herself outside Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, Demi told her followers yesterday that a body scan had shown she was now free of the condition.
She wrote: “I’m cancer free! I did it! I got my full body scan results back and there’s not a single cancer cell left in my body.
“It’s been such a difficult year mentally and physically for me with my surgeries and treatment but I’m beyond grateful for everyone’s kindness and support over this past year.
“I will continue to be an advocate for cancer awareness and all my love and strength goes out to those who continue to fight this awful disease, here’s to a healthy and happy 2022.”
Demi was one of the 12 celebrities taking part in this year’s ITV extravaganza, filmed in the Empress Ballroom at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
Also in the line-up were Blue singer Duncan James; Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards; ex-Olympian Colin Jackson; and Love Island star Teddy Soares.
