KIM Kardashian donned a pink corset and tights while promoting Fendi x SKIMS line in leau of Astroworld tragedy.
The SKIMS founder achieved record-breaking success with the new line, despite the backlash following the timeline of its release.
The brand shared a pic of the reality star on their Instagram Stories sporting products from the shapewear line.
In the snap, Kim, 41, sat on a stool wearing a tight-pink corset, matching tights and purple slippers.
The ad came after the page shared a clip of a conversation between Fendi’s artistic director Kim Jones as they went through the different pieces of the collection.
Discussing how they first decided to collaborate, Kim joked: “When Kim called me I was like, ‘ok well first of all, Kim and Kim together… it just makes sense.'”
As the designer chuckled, the smiling reality star went on: “I was so honored and I felt like it just made sense and it was such a cool idea.”
She also revealed she wore a Fendi x SKIMS sample – a pair of white leather shorts – in Rome earlier this year and fans had no idea.
Looking playfully over her shoulder at the camera, Kim said: “Everyone was asking who made it and where I got it… and nobody knew it was a sample from Fendi SKIMS!”
Fans were not pleased with the light-hearted tone of the video just days after the fatal tragedy at the Astroworld festival.
One critic commented: “Really? Is now the time to be joking around?” while another agreed: “SO inappropriate!”
A third posted: “Considering what just happened at Astroworld I expected more. You’d think she could take a few days off from marketing out of respect for the victims.”
According to TMZ Kim’s new line has already sold out and made $1million in its first minute online.
The new collaboration is reportedly set to become the most successful in SKIMS’ three-year history.
The drop comes after a horrifying stampede at NRG Park broke out on Friday evening while Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Travis Scott was performing.
Eight people died and hundreds were injured in what has been declared a mass casualty incident.
Kim took to Instagram on Monday to share her condolensces following the festival tragedy after days of silence from much of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
The KKW Beauty founder, whose sister Kylie is expecting her second child with Travis, wrote: “Absolutely heartbroken for the lives who were lost and anyone who was hurt at Astroworld.
“Just like all of you, our family is in shock by the tragedy, we are keeping all of the victims, families and loved ones impacted in our prayers for healing – as well as Travis who we know cares so much about his fans and is truly devastated.”
Kim was criticized by fans for continuing with the launch, while other members of her family were also called out for their “incensitive” posts.
Khloe, 37, shared a snap – which was taken during the night of the concert – alongside Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick.
While wearing a black high-neck top, Khloe pouted at the camera while Scott had his arm around her.
Khloe’s fans were disappointed with the “insincere” caption, which stated: “About last night.”
One shocked follower wrote: “The caption she put was literally the most insincere s*** ever. Sorry, you had the time of your life while people were dying at your sister’s baby daddy’s concert.”
Another shocked follower added: “The extent of the vanity never ceases to surprise me.”
A third person raged: “Khloe’s head was literally like no thoughts only good pic.”
Kourtney, 42, also continued business as usual by sharing a provocative ad about her company, Poosh, which showed her in lingerie with black gloves and holding a drink.
The caption stated: “Your Poosh-Approved Christmas List.”
Reddit users voiced their frustration over the reality star’s seemingly lack of awareness.
One person wrote: “God, maybe take a break from posting your vapid crap for a day, Kourtney? You know, in light of what your family is connected to?
“Edit: she’s not responsible duh but this is tone-deaf as f**k.”
Another Reddit user chimed in: “Yes, this is disgusting of her.”
Another critic added: “Does anyone expect anything more from Kourtney?”
Family matriarch, Kris Jenner was also slammed for ignoring the incident with her recent social media posts.
The TV personality was called out earlier this week for posting a slew of pics of flower bouquets that she received for her 66th birthday.
While earlier today, the momager took to Instagram to give a shoutout to her longtime beau, Corey for his 41st birthday.
One user responded to the tribute writing: “How about you adressering the astroworld tragedy instead of avoiding it like it didn’t happen #canceltravisscott”
While a second echoed the statement replying: “So insensitive to post this when so many people died at the concert”
A third chimed in: “They are so disillusional they don’t care unless it their own family. keep posting as if nothing happened ppl are suffering still.”
