ROCK icon David Bowie’s estate are planning a “comeback” for the late singer to mark what would have been his 75th birthday next year.
Executors for the music legend are currently ironing out the details of Bowie 75, which will feature a series of projects including archive releases and merchandise to coincide with the milestone in January.
Paperwork filed by the estate’s business, the Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment Company, reveals that alongside musical and video releases, the family, including his widow Iman and children Alexandria and Duncan, are exploring the prospect of merchandise and memorabilia.
There are plans for collectors’ books and artwork, plus other products including clothing, footwear, ceramics and glassware.
A logo submitted for trademark and copyright approval sees the name Bowie 75 in a variation of the star’s famous lightning-bolt emblem.
A source said: “David’s 75th birthday would have been a big deal, and the estate want to mark it.
“There is still a huge appetite for more material, recordings and all things Bowie. It’s a perfect time to release some.
“Obviously they want to be careful to keep to stuff they feel David would have approved of.”
Earlier this year the star’s family agreed a new deal for record giant Warner Music to assume control of a big section of Bowie’s back catalogue — which will also include a new box set of unreleased material.
It includes a previously unreleased album, titled Toy, that was recorded in 2001 but until now never officially made available to fans.
Bowie died in January 2016, two days after his 69th birthday.
He had been battling liver cancer for 18 months.
But he kept his condition a secret while continuing to work on his final record, Blackstar, and a Broadway musical, Lazarus.

Jack recently signed with Island Records and he’s now banking on the label helping get him a collaboration with one of the biggest rappers ever, Drake.
Jack, whose previous collaboration was Foolish with Tom Zanetti, told me: “I am always going to be known from Love Island, regardless of whether I work in Tesco or headline Glastonbury. That’s cool but I am ready to carve my own path now.
“I have written a load of songs. There are so many great people out there I would like to work with.
“Drake, he’s my guy. We are both on Island Records, so I need to get him on the phone.”
Sam Fender is now outselling the rest of the Top Ten combined with his second album Seventeen Going Under.
The record, which came out on Friday, is a sure-fire No1 smash this Friday and is already 20,000 sales ahead of its nearest rival, Drake’s Certified Lover Boy.
Trivium and James Blake also have new albums in the Top Five currently, while Adele‘s 2015 album 25 has been catapulted 15 places up to No12 following the news she will release her new single, Easy On Me, this Friday.
FORMER X Factor winner Louisa Johnson has revealed that she checked into rehab earlier this year to get treatment for trauma, depression and anxiety.
The singer, who won the ITV show in 2015, has candidly told how she sought professional help after hitting rock bottom.
Louisa said: “It was the most life-changing, eye-opening, painful, liberating experience of my life.
“And I will always try my best to encourage others to reach out and ask for help. I understand it’s difficult.
“I’ve been sad, lonely, unhappy and hurting and I didn’t want to stay there.”
While stopping short of going into detail about exactly what caused her to become so ill, Louisa said she is now “the happiest version of myself”.
In a post on Instagram, she added: “Every day I’m growing as a person. I continue to learn so much every day about life and myself and I know things have taken such a long time to be ready, but I will always put myself first.”

FORMER Sugababes singer Mutya Buena used her vocal cords to good effect by screaming the place down during the launch of The London Dungeon’s new attraction.
She was terrified by the Victorian show called The Surgeon, which has been set up for Halloween.
But Mutya, who was a founder member of the Noughties girl group before leaving in 2005, wasn’t alone.
A host of Love Island stars who were also invited to the event got spooked too.
BEN Affleck has revealed a kiss with fellow Hollywood A-lister Matt Damon was cut from their new film The Last Duel.
Speaking about the moment, which director Ridley Scott later replaced to show Matt kneeling in front of his pal, Ben said: “In the original version of that scene – the way that ceremony took place was that you kissed everybody on the mouth. We had that in the script.”
Matt continued: “That would’ve been our first on-screen kiss.”
Ben added: “It’s going to have to wait.”
ACTOR Timothee Chalamet is ready to enter a world of pure imagination judging by his transformation into Willy Wonka – 50 years after Gene Wilder brought the magical chocolate maker to cinemas.
He will play the beloved character in a prequel film to Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, called Wonka, and shared a first image of himself in costume.
Timothee, whose sci-fi epic Dune hits screens next week, has been shooting Wonka for the past month at the Warner Bros studios in Leavesden, Herts.
It is scheduled for release in March 2023.
Other films on the way from Timothee include comedy drama Don’t Look Up, dark romance Bones & All and the sequel to Dune.
