But one player who won’t be appearing for USA is six-time Major winner Phil Mickelson.
One of golf’s most decorated players, Phil Mickelson’s victory at the PGA Championship made him the oldest ever Major winner.
He’s appeared in twelve Ryder Cup’s over the years, competing in a total of 47 matches.
In fact, he’s been a mainstay of every since tournament since making his debut 1995.
But this time at Whistling Straits, Mickelson will not be appearing for Team USA.
Phil is instead moving away from the course this time around after being appointed vice-captain by Steve Stricker.
As such, you’ll still see the 51-year-old around plenty this week as he and Stricker try and mastermind a first USA win since 2016.

“Thank you Captain Steve Stricker for including me and I hope to help in any way possible.
“You just always want the guys to play their best golf.
“If they play their best golf, the US team is really strong with a lot of great young players, a lot of young talent.
“But you’ve got to get the best golf out of them.”
