Netflix UK October releases 2021 – new series, TV and films

AS the nights get longer, Netflix has a whole host of new releases coming to you in October to keep you entertained all month long.

The streaming giant will be dropping a number of different movies and TV shows on their site for your viewing pleasure.

What will be released on Netflix in October 2021?

You (Season 3)

In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda.

They’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers.

Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness.

And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door?

Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.

Maid (Limited series)

This limited series is inspired by the New York Times best-selling memoir, Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive by Stephanie Land.

Maid follows the story of Alex, a single mother who turns to housecleaning to – barely – make ends meet as she escapes an abusive relationship and overcomes homelessness to create a better life for her daughter, Maddy.

Seen through the emotional yet humorous lens of a desperate but determined woman, this series is a raw and inspiring exploration of a mother’s resilience.

Halloween (1978)

On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith.

He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years.

But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes Smith’s Grove.

He returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims.

Seinfeld (Seasons 1 to 9)

The show stars Seinfeld as a fictionalized version of himself.

He is the main protagonist and focuses on his personal life with three of his friends – George Costanza (Jason Alexander), former girlfriend Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), and neighbor across the hall Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards).

Shazam! (2019)

 We all have a superhero inside of us — it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out.

In 14-year-old Billy Batson’s case, all he needs to do is shout out one word to transform into the adult superhero Shazam.

Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in the new version of himself by doing what any other teen would do — have fun while testing out his newfound powers.

But he’ll need to master them quickly before the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana can get his hands on Shazam’s magical abilities.
