CHLOE Bennet is known professionally as an American actress and singer.
Bennet was originally supposed to star on the CW’s Powerpuff pilot but has since decided to step down from the role.
Variety first reported the news after an individual with knowledge of the situation spoke to them.
Their source revealed that Bennet had to quit the show following CW chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz’s decision to reshoot the pilot.
After Pedowitz called the first pilot “a miss,” the reshooting schedule did not line up with Bennet’s schedule forcing them to part ways and start recasting the role.
Born April 18, 1992 as Chloe Wong, Bennet is an actress best known for her role as Daisy “Skye” Johnson in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Bennet is also known for her roles in Abominable, Valley Girl, and 5 Years Apart.
Prior to her acting success, Bennet got her start in the entertainment industry on YouTube posting videos of her singing under her birth name.
Bennet’s first singles, Uh Oh and Every Day in Between, were released in March of 2011 but since her acting career took off, she has put music on the back burner.
The cast of the new live-action show was announced back in March of 2021.
Written by Diablo Cody and Heather Regnier and directed by Maggie Kiley, the live-action series includes:
There is no word on if producers have someone in mind to take over the role of Blossom, but the anticipated show will have to be pushed back even farther due to the recasting and reshooting of the pilot.
It is unknown when the release date of the live-action reboot will be.
