ERLING HAALAND rewarded a brave young fan who ran onto the pitch by giving him his autograph.
Borussia Dortmund were playing a pre-season friendly against Athletic Bilbao at the AFG Arena when the youngster interrupted play.
And he timed his moment to perfection, with Haaland and the rest of the players gathered around the goal in preparation for a corner.
Haaland spotted the boy and accepted his request to sign his football shirt.
The Norweigan then escorted the child off the pitch and left him on the sidelines, looking a little like a lost puppy.
A steward then escorted him back to the stands with his mission accomplished.
Haaland took to Twitter after the match to reveal his excitement at playing again but did not make a note of his interaction with the fan.
It is not the first time a young supporter has shown the courage to invade the pitch to greet a star.
In 2019 a 10-year-old Liverpool fan ran onto the pitch at the end of a Carabao Cup match between the Reds and MK Dons.
